मध्वो॑ वो॒ नाम॒ मारु॑तं यजत्राः॒ प्र य॒ज्ञेषु॒ शव॑सा मदन्ति | ये रे॒जय॑न्ति॒ रोद॑सी चिदु॒र्वी पिन्व॒न्त्युत्सं॒ यदया॑सुरु॒ग्राः ||
mádhvo vo nā́ma mā́rutaṁ yajatrāḥ prá yajñéṣu śávasā madanti yé rejáyanti ródasī cid urvī́ pínvanty útsaṁ yád áyāsur ugrā́ḥ
O you worshipful Maruts, your sweet essence delights in sacrifices with strength. You who shake the wide earth and sky, and make the spring flow when you come, the mighty ones!

Indeed, the Maruts observe the one who praises them, and guide the thoughts of the sacrificer. Sit yourselves down to rejoice today in our assemblies, on the sacred grass, well pleased.

ŕ̥dhak sā́ vo maruto didyúd astu yád va ā́gaḥ puruṣátā kárāma mā́ vas tásyām ápi bhūmā yajatrā asmé vo astu sumatíś cániṣṭhā
O Maruts, may your shining dart be far from us, whatever sin we may commit against you as humans. O worshipful ones, let us not fall under its power; may your best favor be upon us.
