सोमा॑रुद्रा धा॒रये॑थामसु॒र्यं१॒॑ प्र वा॑मि॒ष्टयोऽर॑मश्नुवन्तु | दमे॑दमे स॒प्त रत्ना॒ दधा॑ना॒ शं नो॑ भूतं द्वि॒पदे॒ शं चतु॑ष्पदे ||
sómārudrā dhāráyethām asuryàm prá vām iṣṭáyó 'ram aśnuvantu dáme-dame saptá rátnā dádhānā śáṁ no bhūtaṁ dvipáde śáṁ cátuṣpade
O Soma and Rudra, may you maintain your divine power. May your offerings reach you completely. Bringing the seven treasures to every home, be well-disposed towards our bipeds and quadrupeds.
This hymn is a prayer to the twin deities Soma and Rudra, invoking them to maintain their divine dominion and accept the offerings presented. The worshippers implore them to bestow their blessings by bringing seven precious gifts into every home, thus ensuring well-being for both humans and cattle.

O Soma and Rudra, draw the disease that has entered our house far away in every direction. Drive Nirriti far away, and may auspicious glories be ours.
In this stanza, the worshippers implore Soma and Rudra to dispel all sickness and misfortune from their homes. They ask the deities to banish the personification of misfortune, Nirriti, far away, and to bless them with auspicious fame and good fortune.

sómārudrā yuvám etā́ny asmé víśvā tanū́ṣu bheṣajā́ni dhattam áva syatam muñcátaṁ yán no ásti tanū́ṣu baddháṁ kr̥tám éno asmát
O Soma and Rudra, bestow all these medicines upon our bodies. Tear away and remove from us whatever sin has been committed by us and clings to our bodies.
The devotees ask Soma and Rudra to provide them with healing remedies for their bodies. They also pray for deliverance from any sins or wrongdoings that may be inherent in them or have been committed, asking the deities to remove these burdens.

tigmā́yudhau tigmáhetī suśévau sómārudrāv ihá sú mr̥ḷataṁ naḥ prá no muñcataṁ váruṇasya pā́śād gopāyátaṁ naḥ sumanasyámānā
O Soma and Rudra, wielding sharp weapons and sharp missiles, kind friends, be gracious to us here. Release us from the snare of Varuna, and protect us with kind intentions.
This verse calls upon the fierce yet benevolent deities Soma and Rudra, described as having sharp weapons and being kind friends. The worshippers request their favor and protection, asking to be freed from the bonds or snares of Varuna, and to be guarded with their good will.
