Seeking new favor and help, the worshipper approaches the Son of Strength with sacrifice. He calls the divine priest, who, with a dark and shining path, consumes the wood.
This verse describes a worshipper seeking divine favor and assistance. He approaches the 'Son of Strength' (likely a divine being or Agni) with a new offering and prayer. The prayer is directed towards a heavenly priest (the Hotar, a divine officiant), who is depicted as a powerful entity that can consume or clear the way, symbolized by 'rending the wood' with a dark, impactful presence.
