Stanza 6.68.1

śruṣṭī́ vāṁ yajñá údyataḥ sajóṣā manuṣvád vr̥ktábarhiṣo yájadhyai ā́ yá índrāváruṇāv iṣé adyá mahé sumnā́ya mahá āvavártat

For you two, with the offering prepared, and the grass trimmed, accordant and in the manner of Manu, we worship. O Indra and Varuṇa, may this prayer come to us today for great favor, for great prosperity.

Stanza 6.68.2

tā́ hí śréṣṭhā devátātā tujā́ śū́rāṇāṁ śáviṣṭhā tā́ hí bhūtám maghónām máṁhiṣṭhā tuviśúṣma r̥téna vr̥tratúrā sárvasenā

For they are the best of the gods, mighty in strength among heroes, the most vigorous. They have become the greatest of the wealthy, most magnificent, of great power, destroyers of Vṛtra by cosmic order.

Stanza 6.68.3

tā́ gr̥ṇīhi namasyèbhiḥ śūṣaíḥ sumnébhir índrāváruṇā cakānā́ vájreṇānyáḥ śávasā hánti vr̥tráṁ síṣakty anyó vr̥jáneṣu vípraḥ

Praise those two, who are worthy of reverence, with hymns and favors, Indra and Varuṇa, who are pleasing. One with his thunderbolt and power slays Vṛtra; the other, the wise one, adheres in the midst of difficulties.

Stanza 6.68.4

Though the goddesses and the men have grown, and all the gods among the heroes are self-declared, you two, Indra and Varuṇa, through your greatness, have surpassed them. May Heaven and Earth, the vast ones, come to us through your might.

Stanza 6.68.5

Indeed, he who is righteous, generous, and strong, O Indra and Varuṇa, offers to you with devotion. He shall overcome the enemies with sustenance, and win wealth and people who possess wealth.

Stanza 6.68.6

yáṁ yuváṁ dāśvàdhvarāya devā rayíṁ dhatthó vásumantam purukṣúm asmé sá indrāvaruṇāv ápi ṣyāt prá yó bhanákti vanúṣām áśastīḥ

May that wealth, O Gods, which you two bestow upon the offerer for the sacrifice, which is rich in treasure and sustenance, come to us, O Indra and Varuṇa. May it allow us to cross over dangers like a boat crosses waters.

Stanza 6.68.7

utá naḥ sutrātró devágopāḥ sūríbhya indrāvaruṇā rayíḥ ṣyāt yéṣāṁ śúṣmaḥ pŕ̥tanāsu sāhvā́n prá sadyó dyumnā́ tiráte táturiḥ

May wealth come to us, O Indra and Varuṇa, for our leaders who are well-protected by gods. May their strength in battles be victorious, and their glorious fame spread quickly.

Stanza 6.68.8

nū́ na indrāvaruṇā gr̥ṇānā́ pr̥ṅktáṁ rayíṁ sauśravasā́ya devā itthā́ gr̥ṇánto mahínasya śárdho 'pó ná nāvā́ duritā́ tarema

Now, O Indra and Varuṇa, O Gods, while praising, unite the wealth with our heroic renown. Thus, praising, may we cross over adversities with strength, as with a boat across the waters.

Stanza 6.68.9

prá samrā́je br̥haté mánma nú priyám árca devā́ya váruṇāya sapráthaḥ ayáṁ yá urvī́ mahinā́ máhivrataḥ krátvā vibhā́ty ajáro ná śocíṣā

Now I sing a beloved hymn to the great king, the divine Varuṇa, who is greatly expanding. This one, who with his might, constant in vows, shines with radiance, is eternal and unaging.

Stanza 6.68.10

índrāvaruṇā sutapāv imáṁ sutáṁ sómam pibatam mádyaṁ dhr̥tavratā yuvó rátho adhvaráṁ devávītaye práti svásaram úpa yāti pītáye

O Indra and Varuṇa, who maintain the order, drink this pressed, intoxicating Soma. Your chariot, O Gods, comes to the sacrifice for divine enjoyment; may it come to the ritual for drinking.

Stanza 6.68.11

índrāvaruṇā mádhumattamasya vŕ̥ṣṇaḥ sómasya vr̥ṣaṇā́ vr̥ṣethām idáṁ vām ándhaḥ páriṣiktam asmé āsádyāsmín barhíṣi mādayethām

O Indra and Varuṇa, heroes, drink the sweetest, most exhilarating Soma of the powerful one. This is your drink, poured out for us. Be seated on this grass and rejoice.
