Stanza 6.53.1
व॒यमु॑ त्वा पथस्पते॒ रथं॒ न वाज॑सातये | धि॒ये पू॑षन्नयुज्महि ||
vayám u tvā pathas pate ráthaṁ ná vā́jasātaye dhiyé pūṣann ayujmahi
O Pūṣan, Lord of the path, we have harnessed you, like a chariot, for the sake of winning wealth and for our devotion.
This verse is an invocation to Pūṣan, the god of nourishment and prosperity, addressing him as the 'Lord of the Path'. The singer expresses that they have yoked or harnessed Pūṣan, much like a chariot, for the purpose of winning wealth and for the sake of their devotion or inspiration.

Lead us towards a valuable possession, a heroic man, a generous householder.
The verse continues the invocation to Pūṣan, requesting him to lead the singer towards a man of substance, a valuable possession, a heroic individual, one who is generous with his donations, and a capable householder.

O glowing Pūṣan, urge even the ungenerous to give, and soften the hearts of misers.
The stanza urges Pūṣan, addressed as 'glowing one' (āghr̥ṇe), to encourage even those who are unwilling to give, to bestow their gifts. It also asks Pūṣan to soften the hearts of misers, to make them more willing to share.
