उदु॒ त्यच्चक्षु॒र्महि॑ मि॒त्रयो॒राँ एति॑ प्रि॒यं वरु॑णयो॒रद॑ब्धम् | ऋ॒तस्य॒ शुचि॑ दर्श॒तमनी॑कं रु॒क्मो न दि॒व उदि॑ता॒ व्य॑द्यौत् ||

That mighty eye of Mitra and Varuna, unfailing and dear, is rising. The pure and splendid face of Rta (cosmic order) has shone forth like gold from heaven as it ascended.

The wise one knows the three forms of these gods, their births near and far. Seeing the straight and crooked among mortals, the sun (Sura) clearly observes the devoted.

For they are the ones with the best brilliance; they lead us through all troubles. They, the powerful rulers Varuna, Mitra, Agni, are true in wisdom and uphold the hymn's order.
