स्वा॒दुष्किला॒यं मधु॑माँ उ॒तायं ती॒व्रः किला॒यं रस॑वाँ उ॒तायम् | उ॒तो न्व१॒॑स्य प॑पि॒वांस॒मिन्द्रं॒ न कश्च॒न स॑हत आह॒वेषु॑ ||
svādúṣ kílāyám mádhumām̐ utā́yáṁ tīvráḥ kílāyáṁ rásavām̐ utā́yám utó nv àsyá papivā́ṁsam índraṁ ná káś caná sahata āhavéṣu
Truly, this [Soma] is sweet and full of honey. And this one is potent, and this one is flavorful. And once he has drunk it, no one can conquer Indra in battle.

This [Soma] was here the most delightful. Because of it, Indra was overjoyed in the killing of Vritra. And it delighted him as he destroyed the many strongholds of Sambara, ninety-nine forts.
This Soma possesses extraordinary power to exhilarate. It emboldened Indra during his fight with Vritra and also in his battles against Sambara, whom he defeated along with his numerous strongholds. This verse celebrates Indra's might, amplified by the Soma, in his cosmic battles.
