O Agni, he who is the guardian of truth and lives by righteousness, attains abundant light and dwells in peace. O God, you, along with Mitra and Varuna, protect him with your power, removing his afflictions.

Stanza 6.3.2

He worshipped with sacrifices, appeased with offerings, and gave to Agni who bestows wealth. Even the displeasure of the famous does not affect him, nor does distress or attack reach such a mortal.

Stanza 6.3.3

Like the sun, his flawless appearance inspires awe. When you, O God, intensely desire, you bring forth brilliant things. Swift and energetic, this immortal does not remain fixed anywhere, but moves through the forest.

Stanza 6.3.4

His intense and vast form moves, like a horse with bit and bridle. Darting his tongue like a hatchet, he burns the wood, and like a smelter, he melts it.

Stanza 6.3.5

sá íd ásteva práti dhād asiṣyáñ chíśīta téjó 'yaso ná dhā́rām citrádhrajatir aratír yó aktór vér ná druṣádvā raghupátmajaṁhāḥ

He, like an archer, prepares to shoot, sharpening his brilliance like the edge of iron. The swift messenger, moving with a shining path, like a bird of rapid flight from the night, proceeds onwards.

Stanza 6.3.6

He clothes himself with brilliance in the morning like a singer, and shines brightly like Mitra. He is red at night, and by day he belongs to men; the immortal, red one belongs to men by day.

Stanza 6.3.7

divó ná yásya vidható návīnod vŕ̥ṣā rukṣá óṣadhīṣu nūnot ghŕ̥ṇā ná yó dhrájasā pátmanā yánn ā́ ródasī vásunā dáṁ supátnī

Like the sky when its light shines forth, his voice sounded. The strong, radiant one shone among the plants. He who, with his rapid course and brilliance, fills the earth and sky with treasure, like a good householder.

Stanza 6.3.8

He, with his supporting elements and hymns, flashes like lightning with his own vigor. Like the skillful Rbhus, he fashioned himself; like the Maruts, the bright and impetuous one shone forth.
