Stanza 6.29.1

इन्द्रं॑ वो॒ नरः॑ स॒ख्याय॑ सेपुर्म॒हो यन्तः॑ सुम॒तये॑ चका॒नाः | म॒हो हि दा॒ता वज्र॑हस्तो॒ अस्ति॑ म॒हामु॑ र॒ण्वमव॑से यजध्वम् ||

índraṁ vo náraḥ sakhyā́ya sepur mahó yántaḥ sumatáye cakānā́ḥ mahó hí dātā́ vájrahasto ásti mahā́m u raṇvám ávase yajadhvam

O men, follow Indra for his friendship and great favor, seeking his excellent good will. For he is the giver of great wealth, the wielder of the thunderbolt. Worship the great and powerful one for protection.

Stanza 6.29.2

आ यस्मि॒न्हस्ते॒ नर्या॑ मिमि॒क्षुरा रथे॑ हिर॒ण्यये॑ रथे॒ष्ठाः | आ र॒श्मयो॒ गभ॑स्त्योः स्थू॒रयो॒राध्व॒न्नश्वा॑सो॒ वृष॑णो युजा॒नाः ||

ā́ yásmin háste náryā mimikṣúr ā́ ráthe hiraṇyáye ratheṣṭhā́ḥ ā́ raśmáyo gábhastyo sthūráyor ā́dhvann áśvāso vŕ̥ṣaṇo yujānā́ḥ

To him, men closely cling, and the chariot-drivers stand firm on his golden chariot. His reins are held firmly in his hands; his powerful horses are yoked and ready.

Stanza 6.29.3

श्रि॒ये ते॒ पादा॒ दुव॒ आ मि॑मिक्षुर्धृ॒ष्णुर्व॒ज्री शव॑सा॒ दक्षि॑णावान् | वसा॑नो॒ अत्कं॑ सुर॒भिं दृ॒शे कं स्व१॒॑र्ण नृ॑तविषि॒रो ब॑भूथ ||

śriyé te pā́dā dúva ā́ mimikṣur dhr̥ṣṇúr vajrī́ śávasā dákṣiṇāvān vásāno átkaṁ surabhíṁ dr̥śé káṁ svàr ṇá nr̥tav iṣiró babhūtha

For glory, your devotees embrace your feet. Bold, thunder-armed, rich in strength, you are splendidly robed in a beautiful garment for all to see. You have appeared like a vigorous dancer.

Stanza 6.29.4

स सोम॒ आमि॑श्लतमः सु॒तो भू॒द्यस्मि॑न्प॒क्तिः प॒च्यते॒ सन्ति॑ धा॒नाः | इन्द्रं॒ नरः॑ स्तु॒वन्तो॑ ब्रह्मका॒रा उ॒क्था शंस॑न्तो दे॒ववा॑ततमाः ||

sá sóma ā́miślatamaḥ sutó bhūd yásmin paktíḥ pacyáte sánti dhānā́ḥ índraṁ nára stuvánto brahmakārā́ ukthā́ śáṁsanto devávātatamāḥ

When that Soma is pressed, it becomes excellent, for which food is cooked and grains are present. The men who praise Indra, and recite the sacred verses, are the most favored by the gods.

Stanza 6.29.5

न ते॒ अन्तः॒ शव॑सो धाय्य॒स्य वि तु बा॑बधे॒ रोद॑सी महि॒त्वा | आ ता सू॒रिः पृ॑णति॒ तूतु॑जानो यू॒थेवा॒प्सु स॒मीज॑मान ऊ॒ती ||

ná te ántaḥ śávaso dhāyy asyá ví tú bābadhe ródasī mahitvā́ ā́ tā́ sūríḥ pr̥ṇati tū́tujāno yūthévāpsú samī́jamāna ūtī́

There is no end to your strength, which, by its greatness, has separated the earth and the sky. The generous lord fills [everything]; moving powerfully, like a leader guiding his herds to the waters.

Stanza 6.29.6

ए॒वेदिन्द्रः॑ सु॒हव॑ ऋ॒ष्वो अ॑स्तू॒ती अनू॑ती हिरिशि॒प्रः सत्वा॑ | ए॒वा हि जा॒तो अस॑मात्योजाः पु॒रू च॑ वृ॒त्रा ह॑नति॒ नि दस्यू॑न् ||

evéd índraḥ suháva r̥ṣvó astūtī́ ánūtī hiriśipráḥ sátvā evā́ hí jātó ásamātyojāḥ purū́ ca vr̥trā́ hanati ní dásyūn

May the great Indra, easily invoked, the shining hero with golden helmet, ever be present to help. For indeed, he who is born is unequalled in might; he strikes down many Vr̥itras and Dasyus.
