O Mighty Indra, may your help, whether it be the least, the highest, or the middle kind, be with us. With these forces and aids, O powerful one, make us great, and in the battle against Vritra, protect us.

O Indra, strike down the strength of these enemies, whether they are kin or not, who have arrayed themselves against us. Destroy their valorous power and make them flee in confusion.

Indeed, a hero defeats a hero with his bodily strength, shining in his armor, when engaging in battle. When two opposing sides clash over offspring, cattle, water, or fertile lands, may they contend.

He (Indra) rules over the valor of both armies, when the leaders call them to battle. Whether in fighting a great foe or in defending a home with heroes, may they be guided by him.

Stanza 6.25.7

For your great divine power, O Indra, all dominion has been given, and it remains with you forever. All strength and might are yours, especially in the destruction of Vritra. O worshippable one, following the gods, your power to conquer men is affirmed.

So, O Indra, drive together our adversaries in battles and make the godless enemies yield. May we, singing praises, find your protection at dawn, O Indra, and now too, we Bharadvajas.
