तत्स॑वि॒तुर्वृ॑णीमहे व॒यं दे॒वस्य॒ भोज॑नम् | श्रेष्ठं॑ सर्व॒धात॑मं॒ तुरं॒ भग॑स्य धीमहि ||
tát savitúr vr̥ṇīmahe vayáṁ devásya bhójanam śréṣṭhaṁ sarvadhā́tamaṁ túram bhágasya dhīmahi
We seek from the divine Savitar, the sustenance of the God. We meditate on the best, all-sustaining, and potent gift of Bhaga.
In this verse, the devotee expresses a profound desire to seek the divine essence and blessings from Savitar, the Sun God. They wish to receive his supreme, all-encompassing, and invigorating gifts, particularly the prosperity and grace bestowed by Bhaga, symbolizing fortune and abundance. Indeed, Savitar's own supreme glory, which is most beloved, no one can diminish by any means. His sovereignty is absolute.
This verse emphasizes Savitar's supreme and self-glorious dominion, highlighting its enduring and beloved nature. It asserts that no one can diminish or impair the divine sovereign power of Savitar, which is inherently radiant and universally cherished.

For indeed, Savitar, the god who is Bhaga, brings forth riches for the worshipper. We desire that wondrous share.

O God Savitar, grant us today prosperity with progeny. Remove evil dreams and misfortune.
This is a direct plea to Savitar, invoking him as 'O God Savitar'. The devotee asks him to grant them prosperity accompanied by children and good fortune today. Simultaneously, they request him to remove or drive away bad dreams and misfortune.

ánāgaso áditaye devásya savitúḥ savé víśvā vāmā́ni dhīmahi
Being sinless, for Aditi, through the power of God Savitar, may we obtain all beautiful things.
The verse invokes Savitar and also refers to Aditi, the mother goddess representing infinity and freedom. The prayer is to be free from sin or fault ('anāgasaḥ') in the presence of Aditi, through the power and influence ('savé') of Savitar. The ultimate goal is to attain all excellent and desirable possessions ('vāmāni').
