Stanza 5.80.1

द्यु॒तद्या॑मानं बृह॒तीमृ॒तेन॑ ऋ॒ताव॑रीमरु॒णप्सुं॑ विभा॒तीम् | दे॒वीमु॒षसं॒ स्व॑रा॒वह॑न्तीं॒ प्रति॒ विप्रा॑सो म॒तिभि॑र्जरन्ते ||

dyutádyāmānam br̥hatī́m r̥téna r̥tā́varīm aruṇápsuṁ vibhātī́m devī́m uṣásaṁ svàr āváhantīm práti víprāso matíbhir jarante

The wise ones, with their thoughts, praise and welcome the divine Dawn, who has a radiant path, is vast and supreme, moves according to cosmic law, is reddish in appearance, shines brightly, and brings the sun's light.

Stanza 5.80.2

ए॒षा जनं॑ दर्श॒ता बो॒धय॑न्ती सु॒गान्प॒थः कृ॑ण्व॒ती या॒त्यग्रे॑ | बृ॒ह॒द्र॒था बृ॑ह॒ती वि॑श्वमि॒न्वोषा ज्योति॑र्यच्छ॒त्यग्रे॒ अह्ना॑म् ||

eṣā́ jánaṁ darśatā́ bodháyantī sugā́n patháḥ kr̥ṇvatī́ yāty ágre br̥hadrathā́ br̥hatī́ viśvaminvóṣā́ jyótir yachaty ágre áhnām

She comes forward, awakening people and making the paths easy to traverse. This divine Dawn, riding a great chariot, advances, and at the dawn of the day, she bestows light.

Stanza 5.80.3

ए॒षा गोभि॑ररु॒णेभि॑र्युजा॒नास्रे॑धन्ती र॒यिमप्रा॑यु चक्रे | प॒थो रद॑न्ती सुवि॒ताय॑ दे॒वी पु॑रुष्टु॒ता वि॒श्ववा॑रा॒ वि भा॑ति ||

eṣā́ góbhir aruṇébhir yujānā́sredhantī rayím áprāyu cakre pathó rádantī suvitā́ya devī́ puruṣṭutā́ viśvávārā ví bhāti

She, harnessing herself with reddish oxen, brings abundant wealth without causing harm. The revered goddess, desired by all, joyfully opens paths to prosperity and shines brightly.

Stanza 5.80.4

ए॒षा व्ये॑नी भवति द्वि॒बर्हा॑ आविष्कृण्वा॒ना त॒न्वं॑ पु॒रस्ता॑त् | ऋ॒तस्य॒ पन्था॒मन्वे॑ति सा॒धु प्र॑जान॒तीव॒ न दिशो॑ मिनाति ||

eṣā́ vyènī bhavati dvibárhā āviṣkr̥ṇvānā́ tanvàm purástāt r̥tásya pánthām ánv eti sādhú prajānatī́va ná díśo mināti

She, with changing hues, shines with a double splendor. Revealing her form from the east, she perfectly follows the path of cosmic order. Like one who knows, she does not miss any direction.

Stanza 5.80.5

ए॒षा शु॒भ्रा न त॒न्वो॑ विदा॒नोर्ध्वेव॑ स्ना॒ती दृ॒शये॑ नो अस्थात् | अप॒ द्वेषो॒ बाध॑माना॒ तमां॑स्यु॒षा दि॒वो दु॑हि॒ता ज्योति॒षागा॑त् ||

eṣā́ śubhrā́ ná tanvò vidānórdhvéva snātī́ dr̥śáye no asthāt ápa dvéṣo bā́dhamānā támāṁsy uṣā́ divó duhitā́ jyótiṣā́gāt

This bright Dawn, aware of her limbs, stands tall as if bathed, so we can see her. Driving away darkness and hatred, the daughter of heaven has arrived with her light.

Stanza 5.80.6

ए॒षा प्र॑ती॒ची दु॑हि॒ता दि॒वो नॄन्योषे॑व भ॒द्रा नि रि॑णीते॒ अप्सः॑ | व्यू॒र्ण्व॒ती दा॒शुषे॒ वार्या॑णि॒ पुन॒र्ज्योति॑र्युव॒तिः पू॒र्वथा॑कः ||

eṣā́ pratīcī́ duhitā́ divó nr̥ŕ̥n yóṣeva bhadrā́ ní riṇīte ápsaḥ vyūrṇvatī́ dāśúṣe vā́ryāṇi púnar jyótir yuvatíḥ pūrváthākaḥ

The daughter of the sky, like a modest woman, turns towards men. This youthful Dawn, revealing desirable things, has brought back the light as before, pouring forth her radiance.
