Stanza 5.73.1

यद॒द्य स्थः प॑रा॒वति॒ यद॑र्वा॒वत्य॑श्विना | यद्वा॑ पु॒रू पु॑रुभुजा॒ यद॒न्तरि॑क्ष॒ आ ग॑तम् ||

yád adyá stháḥ parāváti yád arvāváty aśvinā yád vā purū́ purubhujā yád antárikṣa ā́ gatam

Oh Ashvins, whether you are today far away or near, whether in many places or in the sky, O you who nourish many, come!

Stanza 5.73.2

इ॒ह त्या पु॑रु॒भूत॑मा पु॒रू दंसां॑सि॒ बिभ्र॑ता | व॒र॒स्या या॒म्यध्रि॑गू हु॒वे तु॒विष्ट॑मा भु॒जे ||

ihá tyā́ purubhū́tamā purū́ dáṁsāṁsi bíbhratā varasyā́ yāmy ádhrigū huvé tuvíṣṭamā bhujé

You who are most manifest here, bringing many great deeds, O mighty ones, I call you with a benevolent mind for protection and enjoyment.

Stanza 5.73.3

ई॒र्मान्यद्वपु॑षे॒ वपु॑श्च॒क्रं रथ॑स्य येमथुः | पर्य॒न्या नाहु॑षा यु॒गा म॒ह्ना रजां॑सि दीयथः ||

īrmā́nyád vápuṣe vápuś cakráṁ ráthasya yemathuḥ páry anyā́ nā́huṣā yugā́ mahnā́ rájāṁsi dīyathaḥ

You have set in motion another beautiful wheel for the chariot; with great might you traverse the regions, encompassing other realms.

Stanza 5.73.4

तदू॒ षु वा॑मे॒ना कृ॒तं विश्वा॒ यद्वा॒मनु॒ ष्टवे॑ | नाना॑ जा॒ताव॑रे॒पसा॒ सम॒स्मे बन्धु॒मेय॑थुः ||

tád ū ṣú vām enā́ kr̥táṁ víśvā yád vām ánu ṣṭáve nā́nā jātā́v arepásā sám asmé bándhum éyathuḥ

That deed of yours, O Ashvins, has been accomplished with divine power. Though born differently, you have united with us in kinship, free from fault.

Stanza 5.73.5

आ यद्वां॑ सू॒र्या रथं॒ तिष्ठ॑द्रघु॒ष्यदं॒ सदा॑ | परि॑ वामरु॒षा वयो॑ घृ॒णा व॑रन्त आ॒तपः॑ ||

ā́ yád vāṁ sūryā́ ráthaṁ tíṣṭhad raghuṣyádaṁ sádā pári vām aruṣā́ váyo ghr̥ṇā́ varanta ātápaḥ

When Surya mounted your swiftly moving chariot, red birds surrounded you, and intense heat enveloped you.

Stanza 5.73.6

यु॒वोरत्रि॑श्चिकेतति॒ नरा॑ सु॒म्नेन॒ चेत॑सा | घ॒र्मं यद्वा॑मरे॒पसं॒ नास॑त्या॒स्ना भु॑र॒ण्यति॑ ||

yuvór átriś ciketati nárā sumnéna cétasā gharmáṁ yád vām arepásaṁ nā́satyāsnā́ bhuraṇyáti

O Heroes, Atri thinks of you with a pure mind and intellect. When you, O Nasatyas, accept the pure offering (flame) through his mouth, he calls upon you.

Stanza 5.73.7

उ॒ग्रो वां॑ ककु॒हो य॒यिः शृ॒ण्वे यामे॑षु संत॒निः | यद्वां॒ दंसो॑भिरश्वि॒नात्रि॑र्नराव॒वर्त॑ति ||

ugró vāṁ kakuhó yayíḥ śr̥ṇvé yā́meṣu saṁtaníḥ yád vāṁ dáṁsobhir aśvinā́trir narāvavártati

Your powerful steed moves swiftly; its exertion in the race is famous. By your great deeds, O Ashvins, leader of men, Atri is brought back.

Stanza 5.73.8

मध्व॑ ऊ॒ षु म॑धूयुवा॒ रुद्रा॒ सिष॑क्ति पि॒प्युषी॑ | यत्स॑मु॒द्राति॒ पर्ष॑थः प॒क्वाः पृक्षो॑ भरन्त वाम् ||

mádhva ū ṣú madhūyuvā rúdrā síṣakti pipyúṣī yát samudrā́ti párṣathaḥ pakvā́ḥ pŕ̥kṣo bharanta vām

O lovers of sweetness, O Rudras, that which flows with sweetness waits for you. When you cross the oceans, people bring you well-prepared offerings.

Stanza 5.73.9

स॒त्यमिद्वा उ॑ अश्विना यु॒वामा॑हुर्मयो॒भुवा॑ | ता याम॑न्याम॒हूत॑मा॒ याम॒न्ना मृ॑ळ॒यत्त॑मा ||

satyám íd vā́ u aśvinā yuvā́m āhur mayobhúvā tā́ yā́man yāmahū́tamā yā́mann ā́ mr̥ḷayáttamā

Indeed, O Ashvins, you are called the bestowers of happiness. You are the most prompt to hear at the sacrifice, and the most gracious.

Stanza 5.73.10

इ॒मा ब्रह्मा॑णि॒ वर्ध॑ना॒श्विभ्यां॑ सन्तु॒ शंत॑मा | या तक्षा॑म॒ रथाँ॑ इ॒वावो॑चाम बृ॒हन्नमः॑ ||

imā́ bráhmāṇi várdhanāśvíbhyāṁ santu śáṁtamā yā́ tákṣāma ráthām̐ ivā́vocāma br̥hán námaḥ

May these prayers, which magnify the Ashvins, be most beneficial to them. We have fashioned them like chariots and have spoken great reverence.
