Stanza 5.67.1

बळि॒त्था दे॑व निष्कृ॒तमादि॑त्या यज॒तं बृ॒हत् | वरु॑ण॒ मित्रार्य॑म॒न्वर्षि॑ष्ठं क्ष॒त्रमा॑शाथे ||

báḷ itthā́ deva niṣkr̥tám ā́dityā yajatám br̥hát váruṇa mítrā́ryaman várṣiṣṭhaṁ kṣatrám āśāthe

O Gods, O twin Adityas, Varuna, Mitra, Aryaman, you have truly established a grand and consecrated dominion. You two seek the most excellent might and authority.

Stanza 5.67.2

आ यद्योनिं॑ हिर॒ण्ययं॒ वरु॑ण॒ मित्र॒ सद॑थः | ध॒र्तारा॑ चर्षणी॒नां य॒न्तं सु॒म्नं रि॑शादसा ||

ā́ yád yóniṁ hiraṇyáyaṁ váruṇa mítra sádathaḥ dhartā́rā carṣaṇīnā́ṁ yantáṁ sumnáṁ riśādasā

When you two, O Varuna and Mitra, sit in your golden abode, you are the supporters of people and the destroyers of foes. You two bestow prosperity.

Stanza 5.67.3

विश्वे॒ हि वि॒श्ववे॑दसो॒ वरु॑णो मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा | व्र॒ता प॒देव॑ सश्चिरे॒ पान्ति॒ मर्त्यं॑ रि॒षः ||

víśve hí viśvávedaso váruṇo mitró aryamā́ vratā́ padéva saścire pā́nti mártyaṁ riṣáḥ

Indeed, all of them, Varuna, Mitra, and Aryaman, possessors of all wealth, have followed their laws like stepping with feet; they protect mortal man from harm.

Stanza 5.67.4

ते हि स॒त्या ऋ॑त॒स्पृश॑ ऋ॒तावा॑नो॒ जने॑जने | सु॒नी॒थासः॑ सु॒दान॑वों॒ऽहोश्चि॑दुरु॒चक्र॑यः ||

té hí satyā́ r̥taspŕ̥śa r̥tā́vāno jáne-jane sunīthā́saḥ sudā́navo 'ṁhóś cid urucákrayaḥ

For they are true, touching the order (Ṛta), possessors of the order, in every person. They are good guides, generous givers, and are very effective in delivering even from distress.

Stanza 5.67.5

को नु वां॑ मि॒त्रास्तु॑तो॒ वरु॑णो वा त॒नूना॑म् | तत्सु वा॒मेष॑ते म॒तिरत्रि॑भ्य॒ एष॑ते म॒तिः ||

kó nú vām mitrā́stuto váruṇo vā tanū́nām tát sú vām éṣate matír átribhya éṣate matíḥ

Which of your forms, O Mitra, O Varuna, is not praised? Therefore, our thought, the thought for the Atri-family, turns to you.
