Your unwavering truth is firmly established and concealed, O Mitra and Varuṇa. When the sun's horses are unhitched, ten hundred stand together. In that moment, I saw the most excellent form of the gods.

This greatness is yours, O Mitra and Varuṇa. They gathered the streams that stood firm with the days. You cause all the nourishment of the cow-pen to flow; one wheel of your chariot has turned here.
This verse continues to address Mitra and Varuṇa, highlighting their greatness (mahitvám). It describes how they bring forth and nourish various forms of energy or flow (related to 'īrmā́' and 'dhénāḥ') by drawing them together with the passage of days (áhabhiḥ). This verse is a prayer to Mitra and Varuṇa, asking them to direct their powerful, well-harnessed horses (áśvāsaḥ suyújaḥ) towards the devotee. You ascend, O Mitra and Varuṇa, in a golden chariot at dawn, and with iron pillars at sunset. From that place, you see the infinite and the finite.
This verse describes Mitra and Varuṇa ascending their chariot at different times. At dawn (uṣásaḥ vyùṣṭau), their chariot has a golden appearance (hiraṇyarūpam). At sunset (uditā sū́ryasya), it has iron pillars (ayasthūṇam). From this high vantage point, they are asked to behold (cakṣāthe) both the infinite (aditim) and the finite (ditim).

This is a plea to Mitra and Varuṇa, referred to as 'sudānū' (bountiful givers) and 'gopā' (guardians) of the world. The devotee asks for their strongest and most flawless protection (śarma) which is beyond all penetration (yát báṃhiṣṭham ná ativídhe áchidram). They pray that with this divine aid (téna avīṣṭam), they may achieve victory (jigīvāṃsaḥ syāma) while striving (siṣāsantaḥ).
