We praise you, O Maruts, for prosperity and for giving gifts. I sing praise to the sky and earth, and I offer the sacrifice of truth. Your horses are bathed and are speeding through the sky; they spread their own radiance through the waters.

Because of their intensity, the earth trembles with fear from their onset. It sways like a full ship that is tossed about. They are seen from afar, these heroes, striving together within the great assembly.

Stanza 5.59.3

Your glory is like the highest horn of the bulls, like the eye of the sun when it scatters the clouds. Like strong and beautiful horses, you shine. O heroes, you are like young men, radiant in glory, and you think of these things.

Who among us can grasp your great wisdom and your manly strength, O Maruts? You shake the earth powerfully, like a speck of dust, when you bring your gifts for our well-being.

Stanza 5.59.5

Like spirited, red horses, and like heroes ready for battle, you have rushed forward to fight. Like strong youths, you have grown mighty. O men, with streams of rain, you dim the eye of the sun.

Stanza 5.59.6

They are without elders or juniors, without a middle rank; they have grown in greatness by their own might. Nobly born, sons of Prisni, you lads of the sky, come towards us!

Like birds flying in formation with strength, they moved from the heights of the sky to its ends. Their horses shook the mountain's springs, so that both humans and gods knew.

May Dyaus and Aditi roar for our feast, may the colorful dawns strive together. These Maruts, O poet, sons of Rudra, having been praised, have shaken down the heavenly bucket (cloud).
