Stanza 5.47.1

प्र॒यु॒ञ्ज॒ती दि॒व ए॑ति ब्रुवा॒णा म॒ही मा॒ता दु॑हि॒तुर्बो॒धय॑न्ती | आ॒विवा॑सन्ती युव॒तिर्म॑नी॒षा पि॒तृभ्य॒ आ सद॑ने॒ जोहु॑वाना ||

prayuñjatī́ divá eti bruvāṇā́ mahī́ mātā́ duhitúr bodháyantī āvívāsantī yuvatír manīṣā́ pitŕ̥bhya ā́ sádane jóhuvānā

Actively engaging, she comes forth, announcing, the Great Mother, Heaven's Daughter, awakening others. Youthful thought, calling to the fathers, she comes to their dwelling.

Stanza 5.47.2

अ॒जि॒रास॒स्तद॑प॒ ईय॑माना आतस्थि॒वांसो॑ अ॒मृत॑स्य॒ नाभि॑म् | अ॒न॒न्तास॑ उ॒रवो॑ वि॒श्वतः॑ सीं॒ परि॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी य॑न्ति॒ पन्थाः॑ ||

ajirā́sas tádapa ī́yamānā ātasthivā́ṁso amŕ̥tasya nā́bhim anantā́sa urávo viśvátaḥ sīm pári dyā́vāpr̥thivī́ yanti pánthāḥ

Swift and moving towards that essence, they stand at the navel of immortality. Boundless and wide, they go everywhere; the paths of heaven and earth surround them.

Stanza 5.47.3

उ॒क्षा स॑मु॒द्रो अ॑रु॒षः सु॑प॒र्णः पूर्व॑स्य॒ योनिं॑ पि॒तुरा वि॑वेश | मध्ये॑ दि॒वो निहि॑तः॒ पृश्नि॒रश्मा॒ वि च॑क्रमे॒ रज॑सस्पा॒त्यन्तौ॑ ||

ukṣā́ samudró aruṣáḥ suparṇáḥ pū́rvasya yónim pitúr ā́ viveśa mádhye divó níhitaḥ pŕ̥śnir áśmā ví cakrame rájasas pāty ántau

The strong bull, the sea, the red bird, has entered the dwelling of the primeval father. A brightly colored stone, placed in the middle of the sky, has moved and guards the boundaries of the air.

Stanza 5.47.4

च॒त्वार॑ ईं बिभ्रति क्षेम॒यन्तो॒ दश॒ गर्भं॑ च॒रसे॑ धापयन्ते | त्रि॒धात॑वः पर॒मा अ॑स्य॒ गावो॑ दि॒वश्च॑रन्ति॒ परि॑ स॒द्यो अन्ता॑न् ||

catvā́ra īm bibhrati kṣemayánto dáśa gárbhaṁ caráse dhāpayante tridhā́tavaḥ paramā́ asya gā́vo diváś caranti pári sadyó ántān

Four support him and provide comfort, ten nourish the child for the journey. His excellent cows, of threefold nature, move around the limits of the sky.

Stanza 5.47.5

इ॒दं वपु॑र्नि॒वच॑नं जनास॒श्चर॑न्ति॒ यन्न॒द्य॑स्त॒स्थुरापः॑ | द्वे यदीं॑ बिभृ॒तो मा॒तुर॒न्ये इ॒हेह॑ जा॒ते य॒म्या॒३॒॑ सब॑न्धू ||

idáṁ vápur nivácanaṁ janāsaś cáranti yán nadyàs tasthúr ā́paḥ dvé yád īm bibhr̥tó mātúr anyé ihéha jāté yamyāā̀ sábandhū

This form is a mystery, people, that while the waters stand still, the streams flow. Two, separate from the mother, support him. They are born here and now, closely related twins.

Stanza 5.47.6

वि त॑न्वते॒ धियो॑ अस्मा॒ अपां॑सि॒ वस्त्रा॑ पु॒त्राय॑ मा॒तरो॑ वयन्ति | उ॒प॒प्र॒क्षे वृष॑णो॒ मोद॑माना दि॒वस्प॒था व॒ध्वो॑ य॒न्त्यच्छ॑ ||

ví tanvate dhíyo asmā ápāṁsi vástrā putrā́ya mātáro vayanti upaprakṣé vŕ̥ṣaṇo módamānā divás pathā́ vadhvò yanty ácha

They extend prayers and actions for him, the mothers weave garments for their offspring. Rejoicing, they move along the paths of heaven to meet the bull's generative contact.

Stanza 5.47.7

तद॑स्तु मित्रावरुणा॒ तद॑ग्ने॒ शं योर॒स्मभ्य॑मि॒दम॑स्तु श॒स्तम् | अ॒शी॒महि॑ गा॒धमु॒त प्र॑ति॒ष्ठां नमो॑ दि॒वे बृ॑ह॒ते साद॑नाय ||

tád astu mitrāvaruṇā tád agne śáṁ yór asmábhyam idám astu śastám aśīmáhi gādhám utá pratiṣṭhā́ṁ námo divé br̥haté sā́danāya

May this be for Mitra and Varuṇa, may this be well-omened for us, O Agni. May we obtain firm ground and a resting place. Salutations to the great heaven, the dwelling.
