You know the heavens, O bards, as the approaching dawn shines with its radiance. The bright lights have come. You have opened the doors of the cattle-pens, and the God has opened the doors of humans.

आ सूर्यो॑ अरुहच्छु॒क्रमर्णोऽयु॑क्त॒ यद्ध॒रितो॑ वी॒तपृ॑ष्ठाः | उ॒द्ना न नाव॑मनयन्त॒ धीरा॑ आशृण्व॒तीरापो॑ अ॒र्वाग॑तिष्ठन् ||
ā́ sū́ryo aruhac chukrám árṇó 'yukta yád dharíto vītápr̥ṣṭhāḥ udnā́ ná nā́vam anayanta dhī́rā āśr̥ṇvatī́r ā́po arvā́g atiṣṭhan
The Sun ascended to the shining waters. The wise ones yoked his tawny horses. They guided the Sun like a ship through the waters. The obedient waters descended.
This verse describes the Sun ascending to its radiant place ('shukram arnaḥ'), having yoked its bright horses. It compares the Sun's journey to a ship being guided by wise people through water, and the waters themselves are depicted as descending obediently, signifying the Sun's power over natural elements.

dhíyaṁ vo apsú dadhiṣe svarṣā́ṁ yáyā́taran dáśa māsó návagvāḥ ayā́ dhiyā́ syāma devágopā ayā́ dhiyā́ tuturyāmā́ty áṁhaḥ
We place your heaven-winning hymn upon the waters, by which the Navagvas completed their ten months. By this hymn, may we have gods as protectors. By this hymn, may we pass beyond distress.
The speaker declares that they have placed a hymn, which wins heaven, upon the waters, and with it, the Navagvas completed their ten months of worship. They express a desire to be protected by the gods ('devagopah') through this hymn and to overcome all distress ('aṃhaḥ') with its power, highlighting the hymn's potency for divine favor and salvation.
