    Stanza 5.35.1

    यस्ते॒ साधि॒ष्ठोऽव॑स॒ इन्द्र॒ क्रतु॒ष्टमा भ॑र | अ॒स्मभ्यं॑ चर्षणी॒सहं॒ सस्निं॒ वाजे॑षु दु॒ष्टर॑म् ||

    yás te sā́dhiṣṭhó 'vasa índra krátuṣ ṭám ā́ bhara asmábhyaṁ carṣaṇīsáhaṁ sásniṁ vā́jeṣu duṣṭáram

    O Indra, bring to us for our aid that supreme power of yours, which is the most effective and invincible in battles, that conquers all beings, and brings us victory and spoils.

    Stanza 5.35.2

    यदि॑न्द्र ते॒ चत॑स्रो॒ यच्छू॑र॒ सन्ति॑ ति॒स्रः | यद्वा॒ पञ्च॑ क्षिती॒नामव॒स्तत्सु न॒ आ भ॑र ||

    yád indra te cátasro yác chūra sánti tisráḥ yád vā páñca kṣitīnā́m ávas tát sú na ā́ bhara

    O Indra, Hero, whatever aids you possess, be they four, or three, or five among the people, bring all that help to us swiftly.

    Stanza 5.35.3

    आ तेऽवो॒ वरे॑ण्यं॒ वृष॑न्तमस्य हूमहे | वृष॑जूति॒र्हि ज॑ज्ञि॒ष आ॒भूभि॑रिन्द्र तु॒र्वणिः॑ ||

    ā́ té 'vo váreṇyaṁ vŕ̥ṣantamasya hūmahe vŕ̥ṣajūtir hí jajñiṣá ābhū́bhir indra turváṇiḥ

    We call upon your excellent aid, O Indra, who is the mightiest. For you were born with heroic might and are the conqueror with mighty strength.

    Stanza 5.35.4

    वृषा॒ ह्यसि॒ राध॑से जज्ञि॒षे वृष्णि॑ ते॒ शवः॑ | स्वक्ष॑त्रं ते धृ॒षन्मनः॑ सत्रा॒हमि॑न्द्र॒ पौंस्य॑म् ||

    vŕ̥ṣā hy ási rā́dhase jajñiṣé vŕ̥ṣṇi te śávaḥ svákṣatraṁ te dhr̥ṣán mánaḥ satrāhám indra paúṁsyam

    Indeed, you are mighty for bestowing gifts, and you were born as a powerful one. Your strength is great, your mind is fearless, and your might is all-encompassing.

    Stanza 5.35.5

    त्वं तमि॑न्द्र॒ मर्त्य॑ममित्र॒यन्त॑मद्रिवः | स॒र्व॒र॒था श॑तक्रतो॒ नि या॑हि शवसस्पते ||

    tváṁ tám indra mártyam amitrayántam adrivaḥ sarvarathā́ śatakrato ní yāhi śavasas pate

    O Indra, wielder of the stone, controller of a hundred powers, Lord of Strength, with all your chariot's force, attack and destroy that mortal who is acting as an enemy.

    Stanza 5.35.6

    त्वामिद्वृ॑त्रहन्तम॒ जना॑सो वृ॒क्तब॑र्हिषः | उ॒ग्रं पू॒र्वीषु॑ पू॒र्व्यं हव॑न्ते॒ वाज॑सातये ||

    tvā́m íd vr̥trahantama jánāso vr̥ktábarhiṣaḥ ugrám pūrvī́ṣu pūrvyáṁ hávante vā́jasātaye

    For the sake of gaining wealth, O mighty slayer of Vritra, people with prepared sacred grass invoke you, the fierce and foremost one, in many ancient battles.

    Stanza 5.35.7

    अ॒स्माक॑मिन्द्र दु॒ष्टरं॑ पुरो॒यावा॑नमा॒जिषु॑ | स॒यावा॑नं॒ धने॑धने वाज॒यन्त॑मवा॒ रथ॑म् ||

    asmā́kam indra duṣṭáram puroyā́vānam ājíṣu sayā́vānaṁ dháne-dhane vājayántam avā rátham

    O Indra, protect our chariot that leads in battles, that is invincible and shares in every gain of wealth.

    Stanza 5.35.8

    अ॒स्माक॑मि॒न्द्रेहि॑ नो॒ रथ॑मवा॒ पुरं॑ध्या | व॒यं श॑विष्ठ॒ वार्यं॑ दि॒वि श्रवो॑ दधीमहि दि॒वि स्तोमं॑ मनामहे ||

    asmā́kam indréhi no rátham avā púraṁdhyā vayáṁ śaviṣṭha vā́ryaṁ diví śrávo dadhīmahi diví stómam manāmahe

    O Indra, come and protect our chariot with your wisdom. May we, O Mightiest One, establish great glory in the sky and offer our praise at dawn.
