    Stanza 5.25.1

    अच्छा॑ वो अ॒ग्निमव॑से दे॒वं गा॑सि॒ स नो॒ वसुः॑ | रास॑त्पु॒त्र ऋ॑षू॒णामृ॒तावा॑ पर्षति द्वि॒षः ||

    áchā vo agním ávase deváṁ gāsi sá no vásuḥ rā́sat putrá r̥ṣūṇā́m r̥tā́vā parṣati dviṣáḥ

    We call upon you, Agni, for protection, O divine one, may you, our wealth, give us gifts, O son of the dawns! May the righteous one carry us across our enemies.

    Stanza 5.25.2

    स हि स॒त्यो यं पूर्वे॑ चिद्दे॒वास॑श्चि॒द्यमी॑धि॒रे | होता॑रं म॒न्द्रजि॑ह्व॒मित्सु॑दी॒तिभि॑र्वि॒भाव॑सुम् ||

    sá hí satyó yám pū́rve cid devā́saś cid yám īdhiré hótāram mandrájihvam ít sudītíbhir vibhā́vasum

    For he is the true one, whom the ancient ones and the gods themselves have invoked, the Hotri with the delightful tongue, rich in splendor with shining brilliance.

    Stanza 5.25.3

    स नो॑ धी॒ती वरि॑ष्ठया॒ श्रेष्ठ॑या च सुम॒त्या | अग्ने॑ रा॒यो दि॑दीहि नः सुवृ॒क्तिभि॑र्वरेण्य ||

    sá no dhītī́ váriṣṭhayā śréṣṭhayā ca sumatyā́ ágne rāyó didīhi naḥ suvr̥ktíbhir vareṇya

    O Agni, shine wealth upon us with your supreme wisdom and your most excellent favor, you who are worthy of choice, through our beautiful hymns.

    Stanza 5.25.4

    अ॒ग्निर्दे॒वेषु॑ राजत्य॒ग्निर्मर्ते॑ष्वावि॒शन् | अ॒ग्निर्नो॑ हव्य॒वाह॑नो॒ऽग्निं धी॒भिः स॑पर्यत ||

    agnír devéṣu rājaty agnír márteṣv āviśán agnír no havyavā́hano 'gníṁ dhībhíḥ saparyata

    Agni reigns among the gods, Agni among mortals, entering among them. Agni, our carrier of offerings, worship Agni with your thoughts.

    Stanza 5.25.5

    अ॒ग्निस्तु॒विश्र॑वस्तमं तु॒विब्र॑ह्माणमुत्त॒मम् | अ॒तूर्तं॑ श्राव॒यत्प॑तिं पु॒त्रं द॑दाति दा॒शुषे॑ ||

    agnís tuvíśravastamaṁ tuvíbrahmāṇam uttamám atū́rtaṁ śrāvayátpatim putráṁ dadāti dāśúṣe

    Agni gives to the worshipper a son, most renowned, of profound knowledge, the best, unconquered, and a bringer of glory.

    Stanza 5.25.6

    अ॒ग्निर्द॑दाति॒ सत्प॑तिं सा॒साह॒ यो यु॒धा नृभिः॑ | अ॒ग्निरत्यं॑ रघु॒ष्यदं॒ जेता॑र॒मप॑राजितम् ||

    agnír dadāti sátpatiṁ sāsā́ha yó yudhā́ nŕ̥bhiḥ agnír átyaṁ raghuṣyádaṁ jétāram áparājitam

    Agni gives a good lord who has conquered in battle with men; Agni (gives) a steed, swift, a conqueror, unconquered.

    Stanza 5.25.7

    यद्वाहि॑ष्ठं॒ तद॒ग्नये॑ बृ॒हद॑र्च विभावसो | महि॑षीव॒ त्वद्र॒यिस्त्वद्वाजा॒ उदी॑रते ||

    yád vā́hiṣṭhaṁ tád agnáye br̥hád arca vibhāvaso máhiṣīva tvád rayís tvád vā́jā úd īrate

    Sing a great song to Agni, O you rich in splendor, that which is most beneficial. From you, wealth emerges like a queen; from you, gains arise.

    Stanza 5.25.8

    तव॑ द्यु॒मन्तो॑ अ॒र्चयो॒ ग्रावे॑वोच्यते बृ॒हत् | उ॒तो ते॑ तन्य॒तुर्य॑था स्वा॒नो अ॑र्त॒ त्मना॑ दि॒वः ||

    táva dyumánto arcáyo grā́vevocyate br̥hát utó te tanyatúr yathā svānó arta tmánā diváḥ

    Your brilliant rays are praised like the pressing-stone. And your roaring voice arose like thunder by itself from heaven.

    Stanza 5.25.9

    ए॒वाँ अ॒ग्निं व॑सू॒यवः॑ सहसा॒नं व॑वन्दिम | स नो॒ विश्वा॒ अति॒ द्विषः॒ पर्ष॑न्ना॒वेव॑ सु॒क्रतुः॑ ||

    evā́m̐ agníṁ vasūyávaḥ sahasānáṁ vavandima sá no víśvā áti dvíṣaḥ párṣan nāvéva sukrátuḥ

    Thus, seeking riches, we have honored powerful Agni. May he, the wise one, carry us over all enemies, just as with a ship.
