Stanza 5.24.1
अग्ने॒ त्वं नो॒ अन्त॑म उ॒त त्रा॒ता शि॒वो भ॑वा वरू॒थ्यः॑ ||
ágne tváṁ no ántama utá trātā́ śivó bhavā varūthyàḥ
O Agni, be our closest protector, and our benevolent guardian, a shelter for us.
The devotee addresses Agni, the fire god, acknowledging his closeness and protective power. The prayer asks Agni to be a friendly guardian, a bringer of well-being, and a shield against harm. It's a plea for divine protection and benevolent presence in their lives.

Stanza 5.24.2
वसु॑र॒ग्निर्वसु॑श्रवा॒ अच्छा॑ नक्षि द्यु॒मत्त॑मं र॒यिं दाः॑ ||
vásur agnír vásuśravā áchā nakṣi dyumáttamaṁ rayíṁ dāḥ
Agni is the possessor of wealth and fame. Approach us and give us the most brilliant wealth.
This verse praises Agni as the source of wealth and renown. The worshipper asks Agni, who is rich and famous, to approach them and bestow abundant and radiant riches. It is a prayer for prosperity and divine favor, seeking Agni's presence to bring material blessings.

sá no bodhi śrudhī́ hávam uruṣyā́ ṇo aghāyatáḥ samasmāt
So be mindful of us, listen to our call, and protect us from all evil.
The devotee calls upon Agni to pay attention and listen to their invocation. They ask Agni to protect them from harmful influences and from those who cause suffering or distress. This is a plea for divine awareness and deliverance from evil or danger.

To you, O most radiant and shining one, we now pray for the welfare of our friends.
