Stanza 5.2.1
कु॒मा॒रं मा॒ता यु॑व॒तिः समु॑ब्धं॒ गुहा॑ बिभर्ति॒ न द॑दाति पि॒त्रे | अनी॑कमस्य॒ न मि॒नज्जना॑सः पु॒रः प॑श्यन्ति॒ निहि॑तमर॒तौ ||
kumārám mātā́ yuvatíḥ sámubdhaṁ gúhā bibharti ná dadāti pitré ánīkam asya ná mináj jánāsaḥ puráḥ paśyanti níhitam arataú
The young mother keeps the child pressed secret in her womb; she does not give him to the father. When he lies in the arms, people see his unfading face.
This stanza describes a mother lovingly and protectively keeping her child hidden, refusing to give him to the father. The child is unseen by others until he is revealed, at which point his radiant face becomes visible to all.

Who is this child, O young woman, you carry as the 'Peshî'? It is the queen who has borne him. The womb's fruit has grown for many seasons. I saw him born when his mother gave birth to him.

A singer (vipra) addresses Agni, describing how he has skillfully crafted this hymn, much like a craftsman builds a chariot. He expresses hope that if Agni, the god, accepts the hymn favorably, they will achieve victory and obtain heavenly waters.

तु॒वि॒ग्रीवो॑ वृष॒भो वा॑वृधा॒नो॑ऽश॒त्र्व१॒॑र्यः सम॑जाति॒ वेदः॑ | इती॒मम॒ग्निम॒मृता॑ अवोचन्ब॒र्हिष्म॑ते॒ मन॑वे॒ शर्म॑ यंसद्ध॒विष्म॑ते॒ मन॑वे॒ शर्म॑ यंसत् ||
tuvigrī́vo vr̥ṣabhó vāvr̥dhānò 'śatrv àryáḥ sám ajāti védaḥ ítīmám agním amŕ̥tā avocan barhíṣmate mánave śárma yaṁsad dhavíṣmate mánave śárma yaṁsat
May the strong-necked bull, growing in strength, gather the wealth of the foe without opposition. Thus the immortals have spoken to this Agni: may he grant protection to the man with the Barhis, may he grant protection to the man with offerings.
The stanza prays for a powerful, bull-like Agni, with a strong neck and growing vigor, to gather wealth without opposition from any foe. The immortal gods have spoken to Agni, asking him to grant protection to a man who has prepared the sacred grass (Barhis) and to the man who brings offerings.
