Stanza 4.47.1
वायो॑ शु॒क्रो अ॑यामि ते॒ मध्वो॒ अग्रं॒ दिवि॑ष्टिषु | आ या॑हि॒ सोम॑पीतये स्पा॒र्हो दे॑व नि॒युत्व॑ता ||
vā́yo śukró ayāmi te mádhvo ágraṁ díviṣṭiṣu ā́ yāhi sómapītaye spārhó deva niyútvatā
O Vayu, bright one, we approach you. You are the best of the sweet offerings in our sacred rites. Come to drink the Soma, O divine one, to your swiftly moving teams.
The devotee invokes the bright deity Vayu, considered the best of offerings, and invites him to partake in the Soma drink during sacred rituals. Vayu is urged to come, accompanied by his divine, swiftly moving teams, to the place where the Soma is being offered and consumed.

Stanza 4.47.2
इन्द्र॑श्च वायवेषां॒ सोमा॑नां पी॒तिम॑र्हथः | यु॒वां हि यन्तीन्द॑वो नि॒म्नमापो॒ न स॒ध्र्य॑क् ||
índraś ca vāyav eṣāṁ sómānām pītím arhathaḥ yuvā́ṁ hí yántī́ndavo nimnám ā́po ná sadhryàk
Indra and Vayu, you both deserve the drinking of these Somras. For the Soma drops flow to you, just as waters flow together into a low place.
The speaker addresses both Indra and Vayu, stating that they are worthy recipients of these Soma offerings. The Soma drops are described as flowing towards them, much like water streams gather together and flow into a valley.

vā́yav índraś ca śuṣmíṇā saráthaṁ śavasas patī niyútvantā na ūtáya ā́ yātaṁ sómapītaye
O Vayu and Indra, possessors of great strength, moving together in the same chariot. You who are accompanied by your teams, come to our aid for the drinking of Soma.
The hymn addresses Indra and Vayu together as a powerful pair, the lords of strength, who move in unison. They are invoked to come in their swift chariots, equipped with their divine teams, to provide help and accept the Soma offering.

Stanza 4.47.4

yā́ vāṁ sánti puruspŕ̥ho niyúto dāśúṣe narā asmé tā́ yajñavāhaséndravāyū ní yachatam
O heroes, Indra and Vayu, which desired teams you possess for the worshipper, turn those teams towards us, O lords of the sacrifice.
The supplicant asks the two deities, Indra and Vayu, addressed as heroes and lords of the sacrifice, to direct their coveted and powerful teams towards them. This is a plea for divine assistance and favor in their performance of the ritual.
