O Indra and Varuṇa, what favor have you obtained through my prayer and offering? Has my heartfelt praise, offered with reverence, reached your hearts, O Indra-Varuṇa?
The Rși, addressing the divine twins Indra and Varuṇa, asks which of them has received his prayer and offering. He wonders if their hearts have been touched by his heartfelt praise and invocation, offered with humility.

The Rși calls upon Indra and Varuṇa to come with their mighty succors, especially in times of battle and contest. He prays that when enemies' flashing arrows are active in combat, he and his people may, through the gods' intervention, be winners of the prize.
