आ नः॑ स्तु॒त उप॒ वाजे॑भिरू॒ती इन्द्र॑ या॒हि हरि॑भिर्मन्दसा॒नः | ति॒रश्चि॑द॒र्यः सव॑ना पु॒रूण्या॑ङ्गू॒षेभि॑र्गृणा॒नः स॒त्यरा॑धाः ||
ā́ na stutá úpa vā́jebhir ūtī́ índra yāhí háribhir mandasānáḥ tiráś cid aryáḥ sávanā purū́ṇy āṅgūṣébhir gr̥ṇānáḥ satyárādhāḥ
O Indra, praised one, come to us with your powers and aid, arriving with your tawny horses, full of joy. Even surpassing the many offerings of the foe, you are praised by our songs, O giver of true rewards.

ā́ hí ṣmā yā́ti náryaś cikitvā́n hūyámānaḥ sotŕ̥bhir úpa yajñám sváśvo yó ábhīrur mányamānaḥ suṣvāṇébhir mádati sáṁ ha vīraíḥ
He who is called by the Soma-pressers approaches, the wise Indra, indeed, with his good horses. He is fearless, understanding, and rejoices with the heroes who have prepared the Soma.
Indra is described as approaching the sacrifice, drawn by the calls of the Soma-pressers (sotŕ̥bhiḥ). He is wise and aware of being called. His horses are excellent (sváśvaḥ), and he himself is fearless (ábhīruḥ) and conscious of his strength and glory. He delights and rejoices (mádati) with the heroes who are involved in the Soma pressing and offering, suggesting a shared celebration of his arrival and the ritual.

Make your ears hear, so that you may gain strength and be pleased. Mighty Indra, having risen with power, bestow upon us good passages and safety for our benefit.

He who comes to the one in need, with aid, and to the one singing hymns who calls him. He harnesses the swift horses and possesses hundreds and thousands, O wielder of the thunderbolt.
