Stanza 4.10.1

अग्ने॒ तम॒द्याश्वं॒ न स्तोमैः॒ क्रतुं॒ न भ॒द्रं हृ॑दि॒स्पृश॑म् | ऋ॒ध्यामा॑ त॒ ओहैः॑ ||

ágne tám adyā́śvaṁ ná stómaiḥ krátuṁ ná bhadráṁ hr̥dispŕ̥śam r̥dhyā́mā ta óhaiḥ

O Agni, today, may we, with our hymns of praise and our offerings, approach that which is dear to you, like a swift horse, and that which touches the heart like auspicious wisdom.

Stanza 4.10.2

अधा॒ ह्य॑ग्ने॒ क्रतो॑र्भ॒द्रस्य॒ दक्ष॑स्य सा॒धोः | र॒थीर्ऋ॒तस्य॑ बृह॒तो ब॒भूथ॑ ||

ádhā hy àgne krátor bhadrásya dákṣasya sādhóḥ rathī́r r̥tásya br̥ható babhū́tha

For indeed, O Agni, you have become the leader (charioteer) of auspicious wisdom, of true ability, and of the great cosmic order.

Stanza 4.10.3

ए॒भिर्नो॑ अ॒र्कैर्भवा॑ नो अ॒र्वाङ्स्व१॒॑र्ण ज्योतिः॑ | अग्ने॒ विश्वे॑भिः सु॒मना॒ अनी॑कैः ||

ebhír no arkaír bhávā no arvā́ṅ svàr ṇá jyótiḥ ágne víśvebhiḥ sumánā ánīkaiḥ

With these hymns, O Agni, come to us, radiant like the sun, with all your divine powers and a benevolent mind.

Stanza 4.10.4

आ॒भिष्टे॑ अ॒द्य गी॒र्भिर्गृ॒णन्तोऽग्ने॒ दाशे॑म | प्र ते॑ दि॒वो न स्त॑नयन्ति॒ शुष्माः॑ ||

ābhíṣ ṭe adyá gīrbhír gr̥ṇántó 'gne dā́śema prá te divó ná stanayanti śúṣmāḥ

Today, O Agni, may we serve you with these songs, chanting. Your powerful manifestations (like thunder) roar like those of the heavens.

Stanza 4.10.5

तव॒ स्वादि॒ष्ठाग्ने॒ संदृ॑ष्टिरि॒दा चि॒दह्न॑ इ॒दा चि॑द॒क्तोः | श्रि॒ये रु॒क्मो न रो॑चत उपा॒के ||

táva svā́diṣṭhā́gne sáṁdr̥ṣṭir idā́ cid áhna idā́ cid aktóḥ śriyé rukmó ná rocata upāké

Your most delightful appearance, O Agni, shines near us for glory, both during the day and during the night, like gold.

Stanza 4.10.6

घृ॒तं न पू॒तं त॒नूर॑रे॒पाः शुचि॒ हिर॑ण्यम् | तत्ते॑ रु॒क्मो न रो॑चत स्वधावः ||

ghr̥táṁ ná pūtáṁ tanū́r arepā́ḥ śúci híraṇyam tát te rukmó ná rocata svadhāvaḥ

Your spotless body, O self-reliant Agni, is pure like clarified butter, shining brilliantly like gold.

Stanza 4.10.7

कृ॒तं चि॒द्धि ष्मा॒ सने॑मि॒ द्वेषोऽग्न॑ इ॒नोषि॒ मर्ता॑त् | इ॒त्था यज॑मानादृतावः ||

kr̥táṁ cid dhí ṣmā sánemi dvéṣó 'gna inóṣi mártāt itthā́ yájamānād r̥tāvaḥ

Indeed, O righteous Agni, you drive away any committed harm or hatred from the worshipping mortal.

Stanza 4.10.8

शि॒वा नः॑ स॒ख्या सन्तु॑ भ्रा॒त्राग्ने॑ दे॒वेषु॑ यु॒ष्मे | सा नो॒ नाभिः॒ सद॑ने॒ सस्मि॒न्नूध॑न् ||

śivā́ naḥ sakhyā́ sántu bhrātrā́gne devéṣu yuṣmé sā́ no nā́bhiḥ sádane sásminn ū́dhan

May our friendships and brotherhoods, O Agni, be blessed with you among the gods. This connection is our central bond in this sacred space.
