Stanza 3.62.1

इ॒मा उ॑ वां भृ॒मयो॒ मन्य॑माना यु॒वाव॑ते॒ न तुज्या॑ अभूवन् | क्व१॒॑ त्यदि॑न्द्रावरुणा॒ यशो॑ वां॒ येन॑ स्मा॒ सिनं॒ भर॑थः॒ सखि॑भ्यः ||

imā́ u vām bhr̥máyo mányamānā yuvā́vate ná tújyā abhūvan kvà tyád indrāvaruṇā yáśo vāṁ yéna smā sínam bhárathaḥ sákhibhyaḥ

Hey Indra and Varuṇa, were your past deeds not strong enough? Where is that fame of yours now, with which you used to bring support to your friends?

Stanza 3.62.2

अ॒यमु॑ वां पुरु॒तमो॑ रयी॒यञ्छ॑श्वत्त॒ममव॑से जोहवीति | स॒जोषा॑विन्द्रावरुणा म॒रुद्भि॑र्दि॒वा पृ॑थि॒व्या शृ॑णुतं॒ हवं॑ मे ||

ayám u vām purutámo rayīyáñ chaśvattamám ávase johavīti sajóṣāv indrāvaruṇā marúdbhir divā́ pr̥thivyā́ śr̥ṇutaṁ hávam me

This person, who is the most eager for wealth, constantly calls you for help. O Indra and Varuṇa, together with the Maruts, Sky, and Earth, please listen to my call.

Stanza 3.62.3

अ॒स्मे तदि॑न्द्रावरुणा॒ वसु॑ ष्याद॒स्मे र॒यिर्म॑रुतः॒ सर्व॑वीरः | अ॒स्मान्वरू॑त्रीः शर॒णैर॑वन्त्व॒स्मान्होत्रा॒ भार॑ती॒ दक्षि॑णाभिः ||

asmé tád indrāvaruṇā vásu ṣyād asmé rayír marutaḥ sárvavīraḥ asmā́n várūtrīḥ śaraṇaír avantv asmā́n hótrā bhā́ratī dákṣiṇābhiḥ

O Indra and Varuṇa, may that wealth be ours! O Maruts, may we have wealth with all heroes! May the Varūtrīs protect us with their shelters, and may Bhāratī and Hotrā (with divine aid) protect us.

Stanza 3.62.4

बृह॑स्पते जु॒षस्व॑ नो ह॒व्यानि॑ विश्वदेव्य | रास्व॒ रत्ना॑नि दा॒शुषे॑ ||

bŕ̥haspate juṣásva no havyā́ni viśvadevya rā́sva rátnāni dāśúṣe

O Brihaspati, accept our offerings! O god of all gods, give us treasures!

Stanza 3.62.5

शुचि॑म॒र्कैर्बृह॒स्पति॑मध्व॒रेषु॑ नमस्यत | अना॒म्योज॒ आ च॑के ||

śúcim arkaír bŕ̥haspátim adhvaréṣu namasyata ánāmy ója ā́ cake

Worship the pure Brihaspati with hymns in sacrifices. I seek that irresistible power.

Stanza 3.62.6

वृ॒ष॒भं च॑र्षणी॒नां वि॒श्वरू॑प॒मदा॑भ्यम् | बृह॒स्पतिं॒ वरे॑ण्यम् ||

vr̥ṣabháṁ carṣaṇīnā́ṁ viśvárūpam ádābhyam bŕ̥haspátiṁ váreṇyam

The bull of humankind, the all-formed, the unassailable Brihaspati, the most excellent one.

Stanza 3.62.7

इ॒यं ते॑ पूषन्नाघृणे सुष्टु॒तिर्दे॑व॒ नव्य॑सी | अ॒स्माभि॒स्तुभ्यं॑ शस्यते ||

iyáṁ te pūṣann āghr̥ṇe suṣṭutír deva návyasī asmā́bhis túbhyaṁ śasyate

O divine Pushan, this newest hymn of praise by us is sung for you.

Stanza 3.62.8

तां जु॑षस्व॒ गिरं॒ मम॑ वाज॒यन्ती॑मवा॒ धिय॑म् | व॒धू॒युरि॑व॒ योष॑णाम् ||

tā́ṁ juṣasva gíram máma vājayántīm avā dhíyam vadhūyúr iva yóṣaṇām

Accept this song of mine, and my thoughts. Like a bridegroom to his bride, be pleased.

Stanza 3.62.9

यो विश्वा॒भि वि॒पश्य॑ति॒ भुव॑ना॒ सं च॒ पश्य॑ति | स नः॑ पू॒षावि॒ता भु॑वत् ||

yó víśvābhí vipáśyati bhúvanā sáṁ ca páśyati sá naḥ pūṣā́vitā́ bhuvat

May he who sees all worlds, and understands them together, be our helper, Pushan.

Stanza 3.62.10

तत्स॑वि॒तुर्वरे॑ण्यं॒ भर्गो॑ दे॒वस्य॑ धीमहि | धियो॒ यो नः॑ प्रचो॒दया॑त् ||

tát savitúr váreṇyam bhárgo devásya dhīmahi dhíyo yó naḥ pracodáyāt

We meditate on that supreme glory of the divine Savitr. May he inspire our thoughts.

Stanza 3.62.11

दे॒वस्य॑ सवि॒तुर्व॒यं वा॑ज॒यन्तः॒ पुरं॑ध्या | भग॑स्य रा॒तिमी॑महे ||

devásya savitúr vayáṁ vājayántaḥ púraṁdhyā bhágasya rātím īmahe

We, seeking energy, obtain the gifts of Bhaga and the glory of the divine Savitr, with understanding.

Stanza 3.62.12

दे॒वं नरः॑ सवि॒तारं॒ विप्रा॑ य॒ज्ञैः सु॑वृ॒क्तिभिः॑ | न॒म॒स्यन्ति॑ धि॒येषि॒ताः ||

deváṁ náraḥ savitā́raṁ víprā yajñaíḥ suvr̥ktíbhiḥ namasyánti dhiyéṣitā́ḥ

Men, inspired by thought, worship the divine Savitr with sacrifices and excellent rites.

Stanza 3.62.13

सोमो॑ जिगाति गातु॒विद्दे॒वाना॑मेति निष्कृ॒तम् | ऋ॒तस्य॒ योनि॑मा॒सद॑म् ||

sómo jigāti gātuvíd devā́nām eti niṣkr̥tám r̥tásya yónim āsádam

Soma, the successful one, goes to the assembly of the gods, to sit in the place of cosmic order.

Stanza 3.62.14

सोमो॑ अ॒स्मभ्यं॑ द्वि॒पदे॒ चतु॑ष्पदे च प॒शवे॑ | अ॒न॒मी॒वा इष॑स्करत् ||

sómo asmábhyaṁ dvipáde cátuṣpade ca paśáve anamīvā́ íṣas karat

May Soma grant nourishing food, free from sickness, to us bipeds, quadrupeds, and cattle.

Stanza 3.62.15

अ॒स्माक॒मायु॑र्व॒र्धय॑न्न॒भिमा॑तीः॒ सह॑मानः | सोमः॑ स॒धस्थ॒मास॑दत् ||

asmā́kam ā́yur vardháyann abhímātīḥ sáhamānaḥ sómaḥ sadhástham ā́sadat

May Soma, increasing our life-force and conquering enemies, take his place in our assembly.

Stanza 3.62.16

आ नो॑ मित्रावरुणा घृ॒तैर्गव्यू॑तिमुक्षतम् | मध्वा॒ रजां॑सि सुक्रतू ||

ā́ no mitrāvaruṇā ghr̥taír gávyūtim ukṣatam mádhvā rájāṁsi sukratū

O wise Mitra and Varuṇa, bedew our pastures with ghee and the regions with honey.

Stanza 3.62.17

उ॒रु॒शंसा॑ नमो॒वृधा॑ म॒ह्ना दक्ष॑स्य राजथः | द्राघि॑ष्ठाभिः शुचिव्रता ||

uruśáṁsā namovŕ̥dhā mahnā́ dákṣasya rājathaḥ drā́ghiṣṭhābhiḥ śucivratā

O widely-ruling, worship-strengthening Mitra and Varuṇa, you reign with great might through longest pure laws.

Stanza 3.62.18

गृ॒णा॒ना ज॒मद॑ग्निना॒ योना॑वृ॒तस्य॑ सीदतम् | पा॒तं सोम॑मृतावृधा ||

gr̥ṇānā́ jamádagninā yónāv r̥tásya sīdatam pātáṁ sómam r̥tāvr̥dhā

O Mitra and Varuṇa, strengthening truth, sit in the seat of cosmic order, praised by Jamadagni's song. Drink Soma.
