imám mahé vidathyāā̀ya śūṣáṁ śáśvat kŕ̥tva ī́ḍyāya prá jabhruḥ śr̥ṇótu no dámyebhir ánīkaiḥ śr̥ṇótv agnír divyaír ájasraḥ
We bring this mighty, energizing hymn for important assemblies and for worship. May Agni hear us with his household fires and his heavenly splendor, always shining bright!

शृ॒ण्वन्तु॑ नो॒ वृष॑णः॒ पर्व॑तासो ध्रु॒वक्षे॑मास॒ इळ॑या॒ मद॑न्तः | आ॒दि॒त्यैर्नो॒ अदि॑तिः शृणोतु॒ यच्छ॑न्तु नो म॒रुतः॒ शर्म॑ भ॒द्रम् ||
śr̥ṇvántu no vŕ̥ṣaṇaḥ párvatāso dhruvákṣemāsa íḷayā mádantaḥ ādityaír no áditiḥ śr̥ṇotu yáchantu no marútaḥ śárma bhadrám
May the rain-giving, stable mountains hear us, rejoicing with nourishment! May Aditi with the Adityas hear, and may the Maruts grant us auspicious shelter.
This verse asks the mountains (parvatāsaḥ), described as rain-givers (vr̥ṣaṇaḥ) and stable dwellers (dhruvakṣemāsaḥ), to hear them. They are said to rejoice with nourishment (iḷayā madantaḥ). Aditi and the Adityas are invoked to listen, and the Maruts are asked to grant them auspicious protection (śarma bhadram).

sádā sugáḥ pitumā́m̐ astu pánthā mádhvā devā óṣadhīḥ sám pipr̥kta bhágo me agne sakhyé ná mr̥dhyā úd rāyó aśyāṁ sádanam purukṣóḥ
May our path always be easy and life-sustaining. O Gods, sprinkle the herbs with sweet honey. In friendship with Agni, may our prosperity not fail, and may we reach a home of abundance!
This verse is a prayer for a smooth and prosperous journey. The speaker wishes for their path (panthāḥ) to be always easy (sadā sugah) and well-provided (pitumān). They ask the Gods to sprinkle the herbs with sweet honey (madhvā oṣadhīḥ sampiprikt). In friendship with Agni (agne sakhyena), they wish for their good fortune (bhāgaḥ) not to fail (na mr̥dhyāḥ) and to attain the dwelling of abundance (sadanam purukṣoḥ).

Enjoy the offerings, Agni, and shine with strength! Combine glories for us and conquer all enemies in battle. Shine upon us every day with a kind heart!
This verse is an appeal to Agni to accept the offerings and bestow his favor. He is asked to enjoy the oblations (svādasva havyā) and shine with strength (samīṣa didīhi). The speaker asks Agni to combine glories (mimīhi śravāṃsi) for their benefit and to conquer all enemies (viśvān śatrūn) in battles (pr̥tsu). Finally, they ask Agni to shine upon them every day (ahā viśvā) with a benevolent mind (sumanāḥ).
