Stanza 3.48.1
स॒द्यो ह॑ जा॒तो वृ॑ष॒भः क॒नीनः॒ प्रभ॑र्तुमाव॒दन्ध॑सः सु॒तस्य॑ | सा॒धोः पि॑ब प्रतिका॒मं यथा॑ ते॒ रसा॑शिरः प्रथ॒मं सो॒म्यस्य॑ ||
sadyó ha jātó vr̥ṣabháḥ kanī́naḥ prábhartum āvad ándhasaḥ sutásya sādhóḥ piba pratikāmáṁ yáthā te rásāśiraḥ prathamáṁ somyásya
Right after being born, the strong young bull longed to taste the freshly pressed Soma. So drink your fill, just as you wish, of the first, delightful mixture of Soma!
This verse describes the birth of a powerful, youthful entity, like a bull, who immediately desires to taste the Soma, a sacred, pressed-out drink. It urges this being to drink his fill of the delicious, mixed Soma, emphasizing its potent and primeval nature.

yáj jā́yathās tád áhar asya kā́me 'ṁśóḥ pīyū́ṣam apibo giriṣṭhā́m táṁ te mātā́ pári yóṣā jánitrī maháḥ pitúr dáma ā́siñcad ágre
On the day you were born, you drank the plant's milk, nourished by the mountains. Your mother, the one who bore you, poured it for you first in your mighty father's home.
On the very day of its birth, this divine being drank the nourishing milk of the plant, which is found on the mountains. Its mother, the one who gave birth, poured this potent milk for it in the home of its great father.

Coming to his mother for food, he saw the potent Soma on her breast. Wisely, he moved past others, transforming himself and taking on many mighty forms.
Seeking nourishment, this being approached its mother and saw the potent Soma on her breast. With wisdom, it moved past others, skillfully preparing itself and becoming formidable with many forms.

Fierce and rapidly victorious, with immense power, he shaped his body as he wished. From birth, Indra conquered Tvashṭar, took the Soma, and drank it from the cups.
This powerful being, Indra, quickly conquering and full of overwhelming strength, shaped his body as he pleased. From his very birth, he demonstrated his dominance by conquering Tvashṭar, seizing the Soma, and drinking it from beakers.

Let's call upon the wealthy and auspicious Indra, the foremost hero in the battle for riches! He's the strong one who hears us, comes to help in battles, slays the obstacles, and wins all the treasures.
We call upon the powerful and wealthy Indra, the best hero in battles where wealth is gained. He is the strong one who listens, comes to our aid in conflicts, defeats enemies, and wins all riches.
