Stanza 3.47.1

म॒रुत्वाँ॑ इन्द्र वृष॒भो रणा॑य॒ पिबा॒ सोम॑मनुष्व॒धं मदा॑य | आ सि॑ञ्चस्व ज॒ठरे॒ मध्व॑ ऊ॒र्मिं त्वं राजा॑सि प्र॒दिवः॑ सु॒ताना॑म् ||

marútvām̐ indra vr̥ṣabhó ráṇāya píbā sómam anuṣvadhám mádāya ā́ siñcasva jaṭháre mádhva ūrmíṁ tváṁ rā́jāsi pradívaḥ sutā́nām

Hey Indra, the bull of gods, join the Maruts and drink the Soma! Drink it to your heart's content to get energized. Pour that sweet, frothy nectar into your belly. After all, you're the eternal king of all these delicious juices!

Stanza 3.47.2

स॒जोषा॑ इन्द्र॒ सग॑णो म॒रुद्भिः॒ सोमं॑ पिब वृत्र॒हा शू॑र वि॒द्वान् | ज॒हि शत्रूँ॒रप॒ मृधो॑ नुद॒स्वाथाभ॑यं कृणुहि वि॒श्वतो॑ नः ||

sajóṣā indra ságaṇo marúdbhiḥ sómam piba vr̥trahā́ śūra vidvā́n jahí śátrūm̐r ápa mŕ̥dho nudasvā́thā́bhayaṁ kr̥ṇuhi viśváto naḥ

Indra, enjoy this Soma with your companions, the Maruts! Drink it up, hero, you who've slain Vritra! Now, go ahead and crush our enemies, push away those who attack us, and make us completely safe everywhere!

Stanza 3.47.3

उ॒त ऋ॒तुभि॑र्ऋतुपाः पाहि॒ सोम॒मिन्द्र॑ दे॒वेभिः॒ सखि॑भिः सु॒तं नः॑ | याँ आभ॑जो म॒रुतो॒ ये त्वान्वह॑न्वृ॒त्रमद॑धु॒स्तुभ्य॒मोजः॑ ||

utá r̥túbhir r̥tupāḥ pāhi sómam índra devébhiḥ sákhibhiḥ sutáṁ naḥ yā́m̐ ā́bhajo marúto yé tvā́nv áhan vr̥trám ádadhus túbhyam ójaḥ

And you, Indra, the guardian of order, drink the Soma! Drink the pressed Soma with the gods and your friends, the Maruts. You shared with the Maruts, those who followed you and helped you become strong after defeating Vritra. They gave you power!

Stanza 3.47.4

ये त्वा॑हि॒हत्ये॑ मघव॒न्नव॑र्ध॒न्ये शा॑म्ब॒रे ह॑रिवो॒ ये गवि॑ष्टौ | ये त्वा॑ नू॒नम॑नु॒मद॑न्ति॒ विप्राः॒ पिबे॑न्द्र॒ सोमं॒ सग॑णो म॒रुद्भिः॑ ||

yé tvāhihátye maghavann ávardhan yé śāmbaré harivo yé gáviṣṭau yé tvā nūnám anumádanti víprāḥ píbendra sómaṁ ságaṇo marúdbhiḥ

Drink the Soma, Indra, with the Maruts, you who are celebrated! Just as they strengthened you during the killing of Ahi, and against Sambara, and in the battle for cows! Now the wise poets are celebrating you, so drink!

Stanza 3.47.5

म॒रुत्व॑न्तं वृष॒भं वा॑वृधा॒नमक॑वारिं दि॒व्यं शा॒समिन्द्र॑म् | वि॒श्वा॒साह॒मव॑से॒ नूत॑नायो॒ग्रं स॑हो॒दामि॒ह तं हु॑वेम ||

marútvantaṁ vr̥ṣabháṁ vāvr̥dhānám ákavāriṁ divyáṁ śāsám índram viśvāsā́ham ávase nū́tanāyográṁ sahodā́m ihá táṁ huvema

Let us call here the powerful Indra, who has the Maruts with him, the bull whose strength is growing, the one who is free-giving, divine, the ruler, the all-conqueror, the bestower of strength, to grant us new protection!
