    Stanza 3.42.1

    उप॑ नः सु॒तमा ग॑हि॒ सोम॑मिन्द्र॒ गवा॑शिरम् | हरि॑भ्यां॒ यस्ते॑ अस्म॒युः ||

    úpa naḥ sutám ā́ gahi sómam indra gávāśiram háribhyāṁ yás te asmayúḥ

    Come to us, Indra, for the Soma juice we've prepared, mixed with milk! Come with your swift horses, you who desire us!

    Stanza 3.42.2

    तमि॑न्द्र॒ मद॒मा ग॑हि बर्हिः॒ष्ठां ग्राव॑भिः सु॒तम् | कु॒विन्न्व॑स्य तृ॒प्णवः॑ ||

    tám indra mádam ā́ gahi barhiṣṭhā́ṁ grā́vabhiḥ sutám kuvín nv àsya tr̥pṇávaḥ

    Indra, come to this intoxicating Soma, prepared on the grass and strained! Will you be satisfied with it?

    Stanza 3.42.3

    इन्द्र॑मि॒त्था गिरो॒ ममाच्छा॑गुरिषि॒ता इ॒तः | आ॒वृते॒ सोम॑पीतये ||

    índram itthā́ gíro mámā́chāgur iṣitā́ itáḥ āvŕ̥te sómapītaye

    My songs have gone forth to Indra, sent rapidly from here, to draw him to drink the Soma!

    Stanza 3.42.4

    इन्द्रं॒ सोम॑स्य पी॒तये॒ स्तोमै॑रि॒ह ह॑वामहे | उ॒क्थेभिः॑ कु॒विदा॒गम॑त् ||

    índraṁ sómasya pītáye stómair ihá havāmahe ukthébhiḥ kuvíd āgámat

    We call Indra here with praises for drinking Soma, with hymns! May he indeed come!

    Stanza 3.42.5

    इन्द्र॒ सोमाः॑ सु॒ता इ॒मे तान्द॑धिष्व शतक्रतो | ज॒ठरे॑ वाजिनीवसो ||

    índra sómāḥ sutā́ imé tā́n dadhiṣva śatakrato jaṭháre vājinīvaso

    Indra, these pressed Somas are here! Accept them, O Indra of a hundred powers, dweller in abundance, into your belly!

    Stanza 3.42.6

    वि॒द्मा हि त्वा॑ धनंज॒यं वाजे॑षु दधृ॒षं क॑वे | अधा॑ ते सु॒म्नमी॑महे ||

    vidmā́ hí tvā dhanaṁjayáṁ vā́jeṣu dadhr̥ṣáṁ kave ádhā te sumnám īmahe

    We know you, Indra, as the winner of wealth and the bold one in battles, O Sage! Therefore, we seek your favor.

    Stanza 3.42.7

    इ॒ममि॑न्द्र॒ गवा॑शिरं॒ यवा॑शिरं च नः पिब | आ॒गत्या॒ वृष॑भिः सु॒तम् ||

    imám indra gávāśiraṁ yávāśiraṁ ca naḥ piba āgátyā vŕ̥ṣabhiḥ sutám

    Indra, drink this Soma mixed with milk and barley, which we have prepared! Come swiftly with your strong steeds!

    Stanza 3.42.8

    तुभ्येदि॑न्द्र॒ स्व ओ॒क्ये॒३॒॑ सोमं॑ चोदामि पी॒तये॑ | ए॒ष रा॑रन्तु ते हृ॒दि ||

    túbhyéd indra svá okyè sómaṁ codāmi pītáye eṣá rārantu te hr̥dí

    For you, Indra, in your own place, I offer this Soma for you to drink! May this delight you and remain in your heart!

    Stanza 3.42.9

    त्वां सु॒तस्य॑ पी॒तये॑ प्र॒त्नमि॑न्द्र हवामहे | कु॒शि॒कासो॑ अव॒स्यवः॑ ||

    tvā́ṁ sutásya pītáye pratnám indra havāmahe kuśikā́so avasyávaḥ

    We, the Kuṣikas who seek your help, call you, Indra, the ancient one, here to drink the prepared Soma!
