Born from friction and settled well in his abode, Agni, the young and wise leader of the sacrifice, is ever-youthful in the wood. Here, the all-knowing Agni has embraced his immortal essence.
This verse introduces Agni, the fire god, highlighting his divine birth and essential role. He's described as being 'rubbed' into existence, perfectly placed in his home, and leading the sacred rituals. Agni is depicted as eternally young, vigorous, and possessing immortal knowledge, residing within the fuel that sustains him.
