Stanza 3.18.1
भवा॑ नो अग्ने सु॒मना॒ उपे॑तौ॒ सखे॑व॒ सख्ये॑ पि॒तरे॑व सा॒धुः | पु॒रु॒द्रुहो॒ हि क्षि॒तयो॒ जना॑नां॒ प्रति॑ प्रती॒चीर्द॑हता॒दरा॑तीः ||
bhávā no agne sumánā úpetau sákheva sákhye pitáreva sādhúḥ purudrúho hí kṣitáyo jánānām práti pratīcī́r dahatād árātīḥ
Agni, be friendly and welcoming to us as we approach you! Be like a good friend to a friend, or like loving parents. The people of the world can be quite tricky, so please, destroy all the hostility that comes our way.

tápo ṣv àgne ántarām̐ amítrān tápā śáṁsam áraruṣaḥ párasya tápo vaso cikitānó acíttān ví te tiṣṭhantām ajárā ayā́saḥ
Agni, burn up the enemies who are near us, and burn away the curses of those who wish us harm from afar. O Vasu, you who are wise, burn up the foolish and unseen foes. May your ever-vigilant and tireless flames surround and protect us.

O Agni, with fuel and clarified butter, I offer this sacrifice, earnestly desiring strength and power. I worship you with my best understanding and devotion, offering this divine prayer with all my might, hoping to gain immense blessings and wealth.

Grant us abundant treasures, O Agni, the best granter of riches! This is who you truly are when you are fully ablaze. In the home of a devoted singer, you generously bestow beauty and wealth, with all your might.
