Stanza 3.14.1
आ होता॑ म॒न्द्रो वि॒दथा॑न्यस्थात्स॒त्यो यज्वा॑ क॒वित॑मः॒ स वे॒धाः | वि॒द्युद्र॑थः॒ सह॑सस्पु॒त्रो अ॒ग्निः शो॒चिष्के॑शः पृथि॒व्यां पाजो॑ अश्रेत् ||
ā́ hótā mandró vidáthāny asthāt satyó yájvā kavítamaḥ sá vedhā́ḥ vidyúdrathaḥ sáhasas putró agníḥ śocíṣkeśaḥ pr̥thivyā́m pā́jo aśret
The delightful priest, Agni, has taken his sacred seat! He's the true, skilled sacrificer, the wisest of all, the one who ordains. Agni, son of Strength, with a chariot of lightning and hair of flame, has spread his radiant power across the earth.

अया॑मि ते॒ नम॑उक्तिं जुषस्व॒ ऋता॑व॒स्तुभ्यं॒ चेत॑ते सहस्वः | वि॒द्वाँ आ व॑क्षि वि॒दुषो॒ नि ष॑त्सि॒ मध्य॒ आ ब॒र्हिरू॒तये॑ यजत्र ||
áyāmi te náma .uktiṁ juṣasva ŕ̥tāvas túbhyaṁ cétate sahasvaḥ vidvā́m̐ ā́ vakṣi vidúṣo ní ṣatsi mádhya ā́ barhír ūtáye yajatra
Please accept my heartfelt praises, O righteous and mighty one! You who are wise, please bring the wise gods here with you. Come, sit among the sacred grass, O worthy one, for our benefit and bliss.
The speaker addresses Agni, offering him praise and hymns, asking him to accept this devotion. Agni is called righteous and strong, and the speaker requests him to bring the wise gods and to be seated among the sacred offerings to bring blessings.

drávatāṁ ta uṣásā vājáyantī ágne vā́tasya pathyāā̀bhir ácha yát sīm añjánti pūrvyáṁ havírbhir ā́ vandhúreva tasthatur duroṇé
O Agni, may Dawn and Night, who increase your strength, hasten to you along the wind's pathways! When people offer you gifts, O ancient one, they are firmly established in their homes, secure like a chariot.
This stanza describes the dawn (Uṣas) and night as hastening towards Agni along the wind's paths, empowered by him. It suggests that when people honor the ancient god Agni with offerings, they remain stable in their homes, like being seated securely on a chariot.

O mighty Agni, Mitra, Varuna, and all the Maruts sing praises to you! When you, son of strength, stand with your flames, you become like the sun, spreading your brilliance over all lands and people.

Today, with open hands and deep respect, we have fulfilled your desires, O Agni. Please, as the most skilled priest with a focused and steady mind, offer these sacrifices to the gods for us.

The worshippers acknowledge all their ritual actions performed in sacrifice are for Agni, the intelligent and skillful god. They ask Agni, the friend of those who travel well (in chariots or life), to be aware of everything and to make all the offerings enjoyable and suitable.
