Stanza 3.11.1

अ॒ग्निर्होता॑ पु॒रोहि॑तोऽध्व॒रस्य॒ विच॑र्षणिः | स वे॑द य॒ज्ञमा॑नु॒षक् ||

agnír hótā puróhito 'dhvarásya vícarṣaṇiḥ sá veda yajñám ānuṣák

Agni, the priest and foremost leader, is the sharp-eyed one in charge of the ritual. He truly understands the sacrifice, from start to finish.

Stanza 3.11.2

स ह॑व्य॒वाळम॑र्त्य उ॒शिग्दू॒तश्चनो॑हितः | अ॒ग्निर्धि॒या समृ॑ण्वति ||

sá havyavā́ḷ ámartya uśíg dūtáś cánohitaḥ agnír dhiyā́ sám r̥ṇvati

He, the immortal bearer of offerings, the eager messenger, with a satisfied mind, Agni sets himself in motion, driven by our thoughts.

Stanza 3.11.3

अ॒ग्निर्धि॒या स चे॑तति के॒तुर्य॒ज्ञस्य॑ पू॒र्व्यः | अर्थं॒ ह्य॑स्य त॒रणि॑ ||

agnír dhiyā́ sá cetati ketúr yajñásya pūrvyáḥ árthaṁ hy àsya taráṇi

Agni, the ancient banner of the sacrifice, pays attention with his wisdom. Indeed, his purpose achieves its aim.

Stanza 3.11.4

अ॒ग्निं सू॒नुं सन॑श्रुतं॒ सह॑सो जा॒तवे॑दसम् | वह्निं॑ दे॒वा अ॑कृण्वत ||

agníṁ sūnúṁ sánaśrutaṁ sáhaso jātávedasam váhniṁ devā́ akr̥ṇvata

The gods made Agni, the renowned son of strength, the knower of all, their carrier.

Stanza 3.11.5

अदा॑भ्यः पुरए॒ता वि॒शाम॒ग्निर्मानु॑षीणाम् | तूर्णी॒ रथः॒ सदा॒ नवः॑ ||

ádābhyaḥ puraetā́ viśā́m agnír mā́nuṣīṇām tū́rṇī ráthaḥ sádā návaḥ

Agni, the unassailable leader, goes before the human tribes, a swift and ever-new chariot.

Stanza 3.11.6

सा॒ह्वान्विश्वा॑ अभि॒युजः॒ क्रतु॑र्दे॒वाना॒ममृ॑क्तः | अ॒ग्निस्तु॒विश्र॑वस्तमः ||

sāhvā́n víśvā abhiyújaḥ krátur devā́nām ámr̥ktaḥ agnís tuvíśravastamaḥ

Agni, the uninjured power of the gods, overcomes all attacks and assaults, and is the most famous.

Stanza 3.11.7

अ॒भि प्रयां॑सि॒ वाह॑सा दा॒श्वाँ अ॑श्नोति॒ मर्त्यः॑ | क्षयं॑ पाव॒कशो॑चिषः ||

abhí práyāṁsi vā́hasā dāśvā́m̐ aśnoti mártyaḥ kṣáyam pāvakáśociṣaḥ

Through his vehicle, the worshipping mortal attains all delights and a dwelling from Agni, whose flames are purifying.

Stanza 3.11.8

परि॒ विश्वा॑नि॒ सुधि॑ता॒ग्नेर॑श्याम॒ मन्म॑भिः | विप्रा॑सो जा॒तवे॑दसः ||

pári víśvāni súdhitāgnér aśyāma mánmabhiḥ víprāso jātávedasaḥ

May we, the wise ones, by our hymns, obtain all the well-placed gifts from Agni, the knower of all.

Stanza 3.11.9

अग्ने॒ विश्वा॑नि॒ वार्या॒ वाजे॑षु सनिषामहे | त्वे दे॒वास॒ एरि॑रे ||

ágne víśvāni vā́ryā vā́jeṣu saniṣāmahe tvé devā́sa érire

O Agni! In times of contest, may we win all desirable things. The gods have indeed established themselves in you.
