नि होता॑ होतृ॒षद॑ने॒ विदा॑नस्त्वे॒षो दी॑दि॒वाँ अ॑सदत्सु॒दक्षः॑ | अद॑ब्धव्रतप्रमति॒र्वसि॑ष्ठः सहस्रम्भ॒रः शुचि॑जिह्वो अ॒ग्निः ||
ní hótā hotr̥ṣádane vídānas tveṣó dīdivā́m̐ asadat sudákṣaḥ ádabdhavratapramatir vásiṣṭhaḥ sahasrambharáḥ śúcijihvo agníḥ
Agni, the great priest, has settled into his designated seat. He's incredibly bright, powerful, and wise, with a perfect commitment to his duties. He's pure-tongued, a giver of thousands, and truly magnificent.

tváṁ dūtás tvám u naḥ paraspā́s tváṁ vásya ā́ vr̥ṣabha praṇetā́ ágne tokásya nas táne tanū́nām áprayuchan dī́dyad bodhi gopā́ḥ
You are our messenger, our protector from afar, and the leader guiding us towards greater wealth. O Agni, be our watchful guardian for our children and for us, always shining brightly.

O Agni, may we worship you in your highest dwelling and with our praises in your lower abode. I honor the source from which you sprang. When you are fully kindled, may our offerings be brought to you.

Your wealth, consisting of both kinds, never decreases as you are born anew each day, O wonderful one. O Agni, make your singer rich with food and the lord of wealth with good offspring.
