huvé vaḥ sudyótmānaṁ suvr̥ktíṁ viśā́m agním átithiṁ suprayásam mitrá iva yó didhiṣā́yyo bhū́d devá ā́deve jáne jātávedāḥ
I call upon you, Agni, who shines so brightly and is so worthy of praise! You are the guest of all communities, offering great abundance. Like a dear friend, you are someone to be cherished. You are God among gods, and Jātavedas, the one who knows all things.
