    Stanza 2.36.1

    तुभ्यं॑ हिन्वा॒नो व॑सिष्ट॒ गा अ॒पोऽधु॑क्षन्त्सी॒मवि॑भि॒रद्रि॑भि॒र्नरः॑ | पिबे॑न्द्र॒ स्वाहा॒ प्रहु॑तं॒ वष॑ट्कृतं हो॒त्रादा सोमं॑ प्रथ॒मो य ईशि॑षे ||

    túbhyaṁ hinvānó vasiṣṭa gā́ apó 'dhukṣan sīm ávibhir ádribhir náraḥ píbendra svā́hā práhutaṁ váṣaṭkr̥taṁ hotrā́d ā́ sómam prathamó yá ī́śiṣe

    Vasistha says, "Indra, you who are eager, the cows have given milk and water. People have strained it with filters and stones. Drink the Soma, Indra, which has been offered with the sacred chants of 'Svaha' and 'Vashat.' You, who are the first and the most deserving, are the one who controls this!"

    Stanza 2.36.2

    य॒ज्ञैः सम्मि॑श्लाः॒ पृष॑तीभिर्ऋ॒ष्टिभि॒र्याम॑ञ्छु॒भ्रासो॑ अ॒ञ्जिषु॑ प्रि॒या उ॒त | आ॒सद्या॑ ब॒र्हिर्भ॑रतस्य सूनवः पो॒त्रादा सोमं॑ पिबता दिवो नरः ||

    yajñaíḥ sámmiślāḥ pŕ̥ṣatībhir r̥ṣṭíbhir yā́mañ chubhrā́so añjíṣu priyā́ utá āsádyā barhír bharatasya sūnavaḥ potrā́d ā́ sómam pibatā divo naraḥ

    Oh, sons of Bharata, you who are brilliant and loved, engaged in rituals with spotted offerings and weapons, dwelling in places of worship! Come, sit on the sacred grass, drink the Soma from the Potar's bowl, you who are the people of the sky!

    Stanza 2.36.3

    अ॒मेव॑ नः सुहवा॒ आ हि गन्त॑न॒ नि ब॒र्हिषि॑ सदतना॒ रणि॑ष्टन | अथा॑ मन्दस्व जुजुषा॒णो अन्ध॑स॒स्त्वष्ट॑र्दे॒वेभि॒र्जनि॑भिः सु॒मद्ग॑णः ||

    améva naḥ suhavā ā́ hí gántana ní barhíṣi sadatanā ráṇiṣṭana áthā mandasva jujuṣāṇó ándhasas tváṣṭar devébhir jánibhiḥ sumádgaṇaḥ

    Come to us, oh easily invoked ones, like you are at home! Sit on the sacred grass, be joyful! Then, Tvashṭar, along with the gods and goddesses, rejoice in the Soma juice, a happy companion!

    Stanza 2.36.4

    आ व॑क्षि दे॒वाँ इ॒ह वि॑प्र॒ यक्षि॑ चो॒शन्हो॑त॒र्नि ष॑दा॒ योनि॑षु त्रि॒षु | प्रति॑ वीहि॒ प्रस्थि॑तं सो॒म्यं मधु॒ पिबाग्नी॑ध्रा॒त्तव॑ भा॒गस्य॑ तृप्णुहि ||

    ā́ vakṣi devā́m̐ ihá vipra yákṣi cośán hotar ní ṣadā yóniṣu triṣú práti vīhi prásthitaṁ somyám mádhu píbā́gnīdhrāt táva bhāgásya tr̥pṇuhi

    Oh wise one, bring the gods here and offer sacrifice! Oh priest, willingly sit in the three designated places. Accept the offered Soma, this sweet drink. Drink your share from the Agnidhra's (bowl) and be satisfied!

    Stanza 2.36.5

    ए॒ष स्य ते॑ त॒न्वो॑ नृम्ण॒वर्ध॑नः॒ सह॒ ओजः॑ प्र॒दिवि॑ बा॒ह्वोर्हि॒तः | तुभ्यं॑ सु॒तो म॑घव॒न्तुभ्य॒माभृ॑त॒स्त्वम॑स्य॒ ब्राह्म॑णा॒दा तृ॒पत्पि॑ब ||

    eṣá syá te tanvò nr̥mṇavárdhanaḥ sáha ójaḥ pradívi bāhvór hitáḥ túbhyaṁ sutó maghavan túbhyam ā́bhr̥tas tvám asya brā́hmaṇād ā́ tr̥pát piba

    This Soma is the enhancer of your body's strength! It is power and vigor, established in your arms from ancient times. Pressed for you, oh wealthy Indra, it is brought to you! Drink from the Brahman's share of this, and be fully satisfied!

    Stanza 2.36.6

    जु॒षेथां॑ य॒ज्ञं बोध॑तं॒ हव॑स्य मे स॒त्तो होता॑ नि॒विदः॑ पू॒र्व्या अनु॑ | अच्छा॒ राजा॑ना॒ नम॑ एत्या॒वृतं॑ प्रशा॒स्त्रादा पि॑बतं सो॒म्यं मधु॑ ||

    juṣéthāṁ yajñám bódhataṁ hávasya me sattó hótā nivídaḥ pūrvyā́ ánu áchā rā́jānā náma ety āvŕ̥tam praśāstrā́d ā́ pibataṁ somyám mádhu

    May you both accept the sacrifice and hear my call! The Hotar (priest) has taken his seat according to the ancient traditions. To both the Kings, with reverence, this invitation comes: Drink the Soma nectar from the Praśāstra's (bowl)!
