Stanza 2.21.1

वि॒श्व॒जिते॑ धन॒जिते॑ स्व॒र्जिते॑ सत्रा॒जिते॑ नृ॒जित॑ उर्वरा॒जिते॑ | अ॒श्व॒जिते॑ गो॒जिते॑ अ॒ब्जिते॑ भ॒रेन्द्रा॑य॒ सोमं॑ यज॒ताय॑ हर्य॒तम् ||

viśvajíte dhanajíte svarjíte satrājíte nr̥jíta urvarājíte aśvajíte gojíte abjíte bharéndrāya sómaṁ yajatā́ya haryatám

Hey, offer the sacred Soma drink to Indra! He's the champion of all – winning everything, wealth, light, constant victory, men, fertile lands, horses, cows, and even battles. He is truly worthy!

Stanza 2.21.2

अ॒भि॒भुवे॑ऽभिभ॒ङ्गाय॑ वन्व॒तेऽषा॑ळ्हाय॒ सह॑मानाय वे॒धसे॑ | तु॒वि॒ग्रये॒ वह्न॑ये दु॒ष्टरी॑तवे सत्रा॒साहे॒ नम॒ इन्द्रा॑य वोचत ||

abhibhúve 'bhibhaṅgā́ya vanvaté 'ṣāḷhāya sáhamānāya vedháse tuvigráye váhnaye duṣṭárītave satrāsā́he náma índrāya vocata

Speak words of reverence to Indra! He's the one who overcomes and crushes everything, the invincible conqueror. He is the sustainer, the wise one, the mighty, the powerful carrier, the one who is difficult to resist, the ultimate winner, to whom we offer salutations. Let's worship him!

Stanza 2.21.3

स॒त्रा॒सा॒हो ज॑नभ॒क्षो ज॑नंस॒हश्च्यव॑नो यु॒ध्मो अनु॒ जोष॑मुक्षि॒तः | वृ॒तं॒च॒यः सहु॑रिर्वि॒क्ष्वा॑रि॒त इन्द्र॑स्य वोचं॒ प्र कृ॒तानि॑ वी॒र्या॑ ||

satrāsāhó janabhakṣó janaṁsaháś cyávano yudhmó ánu jóṣam ukṣitáḥ vr̥taṁcayáḥ sáhurir vikṣv āā̀ritá índrasya vocam prá kr̥tā́ni vīryāā̀

Indra, the constant victor, who is loved by mortals and conquers them, the warrior, the gatherer of armies, the triumphant one, honored among people. I will speak forth Indra's great deeds and heroism!

Stanza 2.21.4

अ॒ना॒नु॒दो वृ॑ष॒भो दोध॑तो व॒धो ग॑म्भी॒र ऋ॒ष्वो अस॑मष्टकाव्यः | र॒ध्र॒चो॒दः श्नथ॑नो वीळि॒तस्पृ॒थुरिन्द्रः॑ सुय॒ज्ञ उ॒षसः॒ स्व॑र्जनत् ||

anānudó vr̥ṣabhó dódhato vadhó gambhīrá r̥ṣvó ásamaṣṭakāvyaḥ radhracodáḥ śnáthano vīḷitás pr̥thúr índraḥ suyajñá uṣásaḥ svàr janat

Indra, the unyielding bull, the destroyer, who is deep and vast, beyond all measure! He is the driver of good, the breaker of obstacles, firm and expansive. This Indra, who is praised with sacrifices, brought forth the dawn and its light!

Stanza 2.21.5

य॒ज्ञेन॑ गा॒तुम॒प्तुरो॑ विविद्रिरे॒ धियो॑ हिन्वा॒ना उ॒शिजो॑ मनी॒षिणः॑ | अ॒भि॒स्वरा॑ नि॒षदा॒ गा अ॑व॒स्यव॒ इन्द्रे॑ हिन्वा॒ना द्रवि॑णान्याशत ||

yajñéna gātúm aptúro vividrire dhíyo hinvānā́ uśíjo manīṣíṇaḥ abhisvárā niṣádā gā́ avasyáva índre hinvānā́ dráviṇāny āśata

Through sacrifice, the wise sages, inspired by hymns, found the path and gained success. Full of inspiration and wisdom, they sought Indra's help and, by being inspired by him, they attained wealth and cows.

Stanza 2.21.6

इन्द्र॒ श्रेष्ठा॑नि॒ द्रवि॑णानि धेहि॒ चित्तिं॒ दक्ष॑स्य सुभग॒त्वम॒स्मे | पोषं॑ रयी॒णामरि॑ष्टिं त॒नूनां॑ स्वा॒द्मानं॑ वा॒चः सु॑दिन॒त्वमह्ना॑म् ||

índra śréṣṭhāni dráviṇāni dhehi cíttiṁ dákṣasya subhagatvám asmé póṣaṁ rayīṇā́m áriṣṭiṁ tanū́nāṁ svādmā́naṁ vācáḥ sudinatvám áhnām

Indra, give us the best wealth, intelligence, good fortune, and increase of riches. Grant us unharmed bodies, sweet speech, and good days!
