Stanza 10.84.1
त्वया॑ मन्यो स॒रथ॑मारु॒जन्तो॒ हर्ष॑माणासो धृषि॒ता म॑रुत्वः | ति॒ग्मेष॑व॒ आयु॑धा सं॒शिशा॑ना अ॒भि प्र य॑न्तु॒ नरो॑ अ॒ग्निरू॑पाः ||
tváyā manyo sarátham ārujánto hárṣamāṇāso dhr̥ṣitā́ marutvaḥ tigméṣava ā́yudhā saṁśíśānā abhí prá yantu náro agnírūpāḥ
O Manyu, advancing together with you, let our brave, exhilarated warriors, with sharp arrows and honed weapons, move forward like forms of fire.
This stanza is an invocation to Manyu, the god of divine fury and passion, asking for his support in battle. agnír iva manyo tviṣitáḥ sahasva senānī́r naḥ sahure hūtá edhi hatvā́ya śátrūn ví bhajasva véda ójo mímāno ví mŕ̥dho nudasva
O Manyu, shining like fire, be our invoked leader and victorious commander. Be present for us, and after destroying the enemies, divide their wealth. Increase our strength and drive away the obstructors.
This stanza continues the invocation to Manyu, asking him to be their leader and protector in battle. He is compared to a blazing fire, symbolizing his fierce and powerful nature. The worshippers pray for him to be victorious, to defeat their enemies, distribute their wealth, and to remove all opposition.

O Manyu, overcome our opposition! Advancing, breaking and crushing the enemies, may you proceed. Your fierce power has not been hindered; you, the unique one, bring everything under your control.
This verse addresses Manyu directly, urging him to overcome their enemies and their hostile actions. The warriors are called to advance, destroying and crushing the foes. Manyu's power is emphasized as unstoppable, and he is addressed as the unique, singular being who brings others under his control.

You are one, worshipped by many, O Manyu. Sharpen us for battle, tribe by tribe. With your support, we create a glorious sound for victory.
This verse describes Manyu as being unique and worshipped by many, even when alone. The worshippers ask him to sharpen their resolve for battle, tribe by tribe. They pledge to support him with their combined might, creating a triumphant sound to celebrate their victory.

O Manyu, you are a victorious champion like Indra, and you are our protector. Be here with us. We praise your dear name, O Victor. We know the source from which you have come forth.
This verse praises Manyu as a victorious hero, comparable to Indra, and asks him to be their guardian. The worshippers acknowledge their knowledge of his name and the source from which his immense power originates, indicating a deep understanding and reverence for the deity.

ā́bhūtyā sahajā́ vajra sāyaka sáho bibharṣy abhibhūta úttaram krátvā no manyo sahá medy èdhi mahādhanásya puruhūta saṁsŕ̥ji
O Vajra-like, bolt-wielding one, born with power, you possess supreme strength. O Manyu, be gracious to us with your might. O Much-invoked one, be with us in the great battle.
This verse addresses Manyu as a twin-born power, like the thunderbolt (Vajra), possessing supreme might. He is called a 'destroyer of obstacles' and is asked to be benevolent towards his worshippers. They invoke him for protection in the midst of a great battle.

sáṁsr̥ṣṭaṁ dhánam ubháyaṁ samā́kr̥tam asmábhyaṁ dattāṁ váruṇaś ca manyúḥ bhíyaṁ dádhānā hŕ̥dayeṣu śátravaḥ párājitāso ápa ní layantām
Let Varuna and Manyu grant us the collected wealth from both sides. Let the enemies, filled with fear in their hearts and defeated, disappear.
This final stanza is a plea for divine intervention in battle. The worshippers ask Varuna and Manyu to grant them the collected wealth from both sides of the conflict. They also pray that their enemies, filled with terror and defeated, will be driven away and disappear.
