Stanza 10.81.1

य इ॒मा विश्वा॒ भुव॑नानि॒ जुह्व॒दृषि॒र्होता॒ न्यसी॑दत्पि॒ता नः॑ | स आ॒शिषा॒ द्रवि॑णमि॒च्छमा॑नः प्रथम॒च्छदव॑राँ॒ आ वि॑वेश ||

yá imā́ víśvā bhúvanāni júhvad ŕ̥ṣir hótā ny ásīdat pitā́ naḥ sá āśíṣā dráviṇam ichámānaḥ prathamachád ávarām̐ ā́ viveśa

He who, as the seer and priest, offered all these worlds, our Father, sat down. He, desiring wealth through his prayer, entered the lower regions.

Stanza 10.81.2

किं स्वि॑दासीदधि॒ष्ठान॑मा॒रम्भ॑णं कत॒मत्स्वि॑त्क॒थासी॑त् | यतो॒ भूमिं॑ ज॒नय॑न्वि॒श्वक॑र्मा॒ वि द्यामौर्णो॑न्महि॒ना वि॒श्वच॑क्षाः ||

kíṁ svid āsīd adhiṣṭhā́nam ārámbhaṇaṁ katamát svit kathā́sīt yáto bhū́miṁ janáyan viśvákarmā ví dyā́m aúrṇon mahinā́ viśvácakṣāḥ

What was the support? What was the foundation? How was it, from which, while generating the earth, Vishvakarman, the all-seeing, revealed the sky with his great power?

Stanza 10.81.3

वि॒श्वत॑श्चक्षुरु॒त वि॒श्वतो॑मुखो वि॒श्वतो॑बाहुरु॒त वि॒श्वत॑स्पात् | सं बा॒हुभ्यां॒ धम॑ति॒ सं पत॑त्रै॒र्द्यावा॒भूमी॑ ज॒नय॑न्दे॒व एकः॑ ||

viśvátaścakṣur utá viśvátomukho viśvátobāhur utá viśvátaspāt sám bāhúbhyāṁ dhámati sám pátatrair dyā́vābhū́mī janáyan devá ékaḥ

With eyes on all sides, mouths on all sides, arms on all sides, and feet on all sides, this one God, generating the earth and sky, blows them together with his arms as if with wings.

Stanza 10.81.4

किं स्वि॒द्वनं॒ क उ॒ स वृ॒क्ष आ॑स॒ यतो॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी नि॑ष्टत॒क्षुः | मनी॑षिणो॒ मन॑सा पृ॒च्छतेदु॒ तद्यद॒ध्यति॑ष्ठ॒द्भुव॑नानि धा॒रय॑न् ||

kíṁ svid vánaṁ ká u sá vr̥kṣá āsa yáto dyā́vāpr̥thivī́ niṣṭatakṣúḥ mánīṣiṇo mánasā pr̥chátéd u tád yád adhyátiṣṭhad bhúvanāni dhāráyan

What forest, what wood was it, from which they fashioned the sky and earth? O wise ones, ask with your mind: on what did it stand, supporting the worlds?

Stanza 10.81.5

या ते॒ धामा॑नि पर॒माणि॒ याव॒मा या म॑ध्य॒मा वि॑श्वकर्मन्नु॒तेमा | शिक्षा॒ सखि॑भ्यो ह॒विषि॑ स्वधावः स्व॒यं य॑जस्व त॒न्वं॑ वृधा॒नः ||

yā́ te dhā́māni paramā́ṇi yā́vamā́ yā́ madhyamā́ viśvakarmann utémā́ śíkṣā sákhibhyo havíṣi svadhāvaḥ svayáṁ yajasva tanvàṁ vr̥dhānáḥ

O Vishvakarman, what are your highest, lowest, and middle states/positions? Teach these to your friends. O giver of sustenance, come yourself to the sacrifice, making your own self grow.

Stanza 10.81.6

विश्व॑कर्मन्ह॒विषा॑ वावृधा॒नः स्व॒यं य॑जस्व पृथि॒वीमु॒त द्याम् | मुह्य॑न्त्व॒न्ये अ॒भितो॒ जना॑स इ॒हास्माकं॑ म॒घवा॑ सू॒रिर॑स्तु ||

víśvakarman havíṣā vāvr̥dhānáḥ svayáṁ yajasva pr̥thivī́m utá dyā́m múhyantv anyé abhíto jánāsa ihā́smā́kam maghávā sūrír astu

O Vishvakarman, growing through the offering, worship the earth and sky yourself. Let other people around be confused. May a wealthy patron be here for us.

Stanza 10.81.7

वा॒चस्पतिं॑ वि॒श्वक॑र्माणमू॒तये॑ मनो॒जुवं॒ वाजे॑ अ॒द्या हु॑वेम | स नो॒ विश्वा॑नि॒ हव॑नानि जोषद्वि॒श्वश॑म्भू॒रव॑से सा॒धुक॑र्मा ||

vācás pátiṁ viśvákarmāṇam ūtáye manojúvaṁ vā́je adyā́ huvema sá no víśvāni hávanāni joṣad viśváśambhūr ávase sādhúkarmā

We invoke today, for aid, the Lord of Speech, the swift-thinking Vishvakarman. May he favorably hear all our invocations, the one who brings all blessings and whose deeds are good, for our protection.
