Stanza 10.70.1

इ॒मां मे॑ अग्ने स॒मिधं॑ जुषस्वे॒ळस्प॒दे प्रति॑ हर्या घृ॒ताची॑म् | वर्ष्म॑न्पृथि॒व्याः सु॑दिन॒त्वे अह्ना॑मू॒र्ध्वो भ॑व सुक्रतो देवय॒ज्या ||

imā́m me agne samídhaṁ juṣasveḷás padé práti haryā ghr̥tā́cīm várṣman pr̥thivyā́ḥ sudinatvé áhnām ūrdhvó bhava sukrato devayajyā́

Agni, accept this fuel of mine and gladly receive the ghee in the place of libation. Rise up, O wise one, to the pinnacle of the earth, and be radiant on this fine day for the worship of the gods.

Stanza 10.70.2

आ दे॒वाना॑मग्र॒यावे॒ह या॑तु॒ नरा॒शंसो॑ वि॒श्वरू॑पेभि॒रश्वैः॑ | ऋ॒तस्य॑ प॒था नम॑सा मि॒येधो॑ दे॒वेभ्यो॑ दे॒वत॑मः सुषूदत् ||

ā́ devā́nām agrayā́vehá yātu nárāśáṁso viśvárūpebhir áśvaiḥ r̥tásya pathā́ námasā miyédho devébhyo devátamaḥ suṣūdat

May Narasarhsa, the foremost of the gods, come here with his varied-formed horses. May he, most divine, accept our offerings with reverence, on the path of cosmic order, and bring us good fortune.

Stanza 10.70.3

श॒श्व॒त्त॒ममी॑ळते दू॒त्या॑य ह॒विष्म॑न्तो मनु॒ष्या॑सो अ॒ग्निम् | वहि॑ष्ठै॒रश्वैः॑ सु॒वृता॒ रथे॒ना दे॒वान्व॑क्षि॒ नि ष॑दे॒ह होता॑ ||

śaśvattamám īḷate dūtyāā̀ya havíṣmanto manuṣyāā̀so agním váhiṣṭhair áśvaiḥ suvŕ̥tā ráthenā́ devā́n vakṣi ní ṣadehá hótā

Men, with oblations, praise Agni, the most constant, for his messenger duty. With the best horses and a well-built chariot, may you carry us to the gods. Sit here as the divine priest (Hotar) in this sacrifice.

Stanza 10.70.4

वि प्र॑थतां दे॒वजु॑ष्टं तिर॒श्चा दी॒र्घं द्रा॒घ्मा सु॑र॒भि भू॑त्व॒स्मे | अहे॑ळता॒ मन॑सा देव बर्हि॒रिन्द्र॑ज्येष्ठाँ उश॒तो य॑क्षि दे॒वान् ||

ví prathatāṁ devájuṣṭaṁ tiraścā́ dīrgháṁ drāghmā́ surabhí bhūtv asmé áheḷatā mánasā deva barhir índrajyeṣṭhām̐ uśató yakṣi devā́n

May the divine pleasure, accepted by the gods, spread out widely and remain with us for a long time, fragrant. O sacred grass, with a friendly mind, invite the gods, led by Indra, who are eager to come.

Stanza 10.70.5

दि॒वो वा॒ सानु॑ स्पृ॒शता॒ वरी॑यः पृथि॒व्या वा॒ मात्र॑या॒ वि श्र॑यध्वम् | उ॒श॒तीर्द्वा॑रो महि॒ना म॒हद्भि॑र्दे॒वं रथं॑ रथ॒युर्धा॑रयध्वम् ||

divó vā sā́nu spr̥śátā várīyaḥ pr̥thivyā́ vā mā́trayā ví śrayadhvam uśatī́r dvāro mahinā́ mahádbhir deváṁ ráthaṁ rathayúr dhārayadhvam

Touch the vast expanse of the sky, or spread apart according to the earth's measure. O Doors, with your yearning and great power, eagerly hold the divine chariot.

Stanza 10.70.6

दे॒वी दि॒वो दु॑हि॒तरा॑ सुशि॒ल्पे उ॒षासा॒नक्ता॑ सदतां॒ नि योनौ॑ | आ वां॑ दे॒वास॑ उशती उ॒शन्त॑ उ॒रौ सी॑दन्तु सुभगे उ॒पस्थे॑ ||

devī́ divó duhitárā suśilpé uṣā́sānáktā sadatāṁ ní yónau ā́ vāṁ devā́sa uśatī uśánta uraú sīdantu subhage upásthe

May the two skilled goddesses, daughters of the sky, Dawn and Night, be seated here in their dwelling. May the gods, eager and willing, be seated in your wide and auspicious lap.

Stanza 10.70.7

ऊ॒र्ध्वो ग्रावा॑ बृ॒हद॒ग्निः समि॑द्धः प्रि॒या धामा॒न्यदि॑तेरु॒पस्थे॑ | पु॒रोहि॑तावृत्विजा य॒ज्ञे अ॒स्मिन्वि॒दुष्ट॑रा॒ द्रवि॑ण॒मा य॑जेथाम् ||

ūrdhvó grā́vā br̥hád agníḥ sámiddhaḥ priyā́ dhā́māny áditer upásthe puróhitāv r̥tvijā yajñé asmín vidúṣṭarā dráviṇam ā́ yajethām

The pressing stone is raised, the fire is brightly kindled, and the divine essences are in the lap of Aditi. O you two priests, leading the sacrifice, perform this rite, and with your greater skill, obtain for us wealth.

Stanza 10.70.8

तिस्रो॑ देवीर्ब॒र्हिरि॒दं वरी॑य॒ आ सी॑दत चकृ॒मा वः॑ स्यो॒नम् | म॒नु॒ष्वद्य॒ज्ञं सुधि॑ता ह॒वींषीळा॑ दे॒वी घृ॒तप॑दी जुषन्त ||

tísro devīr barhír idáṁ várīya ā́ sīdata cakr̥mā́ vaḥ syonám manuṣvád yajñáṁ súdhitā havī́ṁṣī́ḷā devī́ ghr̥tápadī juṣanta

O three goddesses, sit on this sacred grass, which we have prepared to be pleasant for you. May Ila, the goddess with ghee-filled feet, accept this sacrifice and the well-prepared offerings, made as humans would.

Stanza 10.70.9

देव॑ त्वष्ट॒र्यद्ध॑ चारु॒त्वमान॒ड्यदङ्गि॑रसा॒मभ॑वः सचा॒भूः | स दे॒वानां॒ पाथ॒ उप॒ प्र वि॒द्वाँ उ॒शन्य॑क्षि द्रविणोदः सु॒रत्नः॑ ||

déva tvaṣṭar yád dha cārutvám ā́naḍ yád áṅgirasām ábhavaḥ sacābhū́ḥ sá devā́nām pā́tha úpa prá vidvā́m̐ uśán yakṣi draviṇodaḥ surátnaḥ

O God Tvashṭar, since you have made beauty perfect, and have been the companion of the Angirases, may you, who know and give riches, grant us the assembly of the gods.

Stanza 10.70.10

वन॑स्पते रश॒नया॑ नि॒यूया॑ दे॒वानां॒ पाथ॒ उप॑ वक्षि वि॒द्वान् | स्वदा॑ति दे॒वः कृ॒णव॑द्ध॒वींष्यव॑तां॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी हवं॑ मे ||

vánaspate raśanáyā niyū́yā devā́nām pā́tha úpa vakṣi vidvā́n svádāti deváḥ kr̥ṇávad dhavī́ṁṣy ávatāṁ dyā́vāpr̥thivī́ hávam me

O Lord of the Forest, using your rope, guide the assembly of the gods here. May the god prepare the offerings. May Heaven and Earth be gracious to my call.

Stanza 10.70.11

आग्ने॑ वह॒ वरु॑णमि॒ष्टये॑ न॒ इन्द्रं॑ दि॒वो म॒रुतो॑ अ॒न्तरि॑क्षात् | सीद॑न्तु ब॒र्हिर्विश्व॒ आ यज॑त्राः॒ स्वाहा॑ दे॒वा अ॒मृता॑ मादयन्ताम् ||

ā́gne vaha váruṇam iṣṭáye na índraṁ divó marúto antárikṣāt sī́dantu barhír víśva ā́ yájatrāḥ svā́hā devā́ amŕ̥tā mādayantām

Agni, bring Varuna for our offering, Indra from heaven, and the Maruts from the atmosphere. May all the divine beings sit on the sacred grass. May the immortal gods rejoice with 'Svaha'.
