Stanza 10.59.1

प्र ता॒र्यायुः॑ प्रत॒रं नवी॑यः॒ स्थाता॑रेव॒ क्रतु॑मता॒ रथ॑स्य | अध॒ च्यवा॑न॒ उत्त॑वी॒त्यर्थं॑ परात॒रं सु निर्ऋ॑तिर्जिहीताम् ||

prá tāry ā́yuḥ prataráṁ návīya sthā́tāreva krátumatā ráthasya ádha cyávāna út tavīty ártham parātaráṁ sú nírr̥tir jihītām

May life be carried forward, renewed, like a chariot driven by a skillful charioteer. When one stumbles, may they rise with increasing strength. May Nirr̥iti be banished far away.

Stanza 10.59.2

साम॒न्नु रा॒ये नि॑धि॒मन्न्वन्नं॒ करा॑महे॒ सु पु॑रु॒ध श्रवां॑सि | ता नो॒ विश्वा॑नि जरि॒ता म॑मत्तु परात॒रं सु निर्ऋ॑तिर्जिहीताम् ||

sā́man nú rāyé nidhimán nv ánnaṁ kárāmahe sú purudhá śrávāṁsi tā́ no víśvāni jaritā́ mamattu parātaráṁ sú nírr̥tir jihītām

May we create chants for wealth and abundant food. May we perform actions for great fame. May all these efforts bring joy to the singer. May Nirr̥iti be banished far away.

Stanza 10.59.3

अ॒भी ष्व१॒॑र्यः पौंस्यै॑र्भवेम॒ द्यौर्न भूमिं॑ गि॒रयो॒ नाज्रा॑न् | ता नो॒ विश्वा॑नि जरि॒ता चि॑केत परात॒रं सु निर्ऋ॑तिर्जिहीताम् ||

abhī́ ṣv àryáḥ paúṁsyair bhavema dyaúr ná bhū́miṁ giráyo nā́jrān tā́ no víśvāni jaritā́ ciketa parātaráṁ sú nírr̥tir jihītām

May we be victorious over enemies with our strength and valor, just as the sky is over the earth, and mountains are over lowlands. May these all our deeds be recognized by the singer. May Nirr̥iti be banished far away.

Stanza 10.59.4

मो षु णः॑ सोम मृ॒त्यवे॒ परा॑ दाः॒ पश्ये॑म॒ नु सूर्य॑मु॒च्चर॑न्तम् | द्युभि॑र्हि॒तो ज॑रि॒मा सू नो॑ अस्तु परात॒रं सु निर्ऋ॑तिर्जिहीताम् ||

mó ṣú ṇaḥ soma mr̥tyáve párā dāḥ páśyema nú sū́ryam uccárantam dyúbhir hitó jarimā́ sū́ no astu parātaráṁ sú nírr̥tir jihītām

O Soma, do not give us over to death. May we continue to see the sun rise. May our old age, with the passing days, be peaceful. May Nirr̥iti be banished far away.

Stanza 10.59.5

असु॑नीते॒ मनो॑ अ॒स्मासु॑ धारय जी॒वात॑वे॒ सु प्र ति॑रा न॒ आयुः॑ | रा॒र॒न्धि नः॒ सूर्य॑स्य सं॒दृशि॑ घृ॒तेन॒ त्वं त॒न्वं॑ वर्धयस्व ||

ásunīte máno asmā́su dhāraya jīvā́tave sú prá tirā na ā́yuḥ rārandhí naḥ sū́ryasya saṁdŕ̥śi ghr̥téna tváṁ tanvàṁ vardhayasva

O spirit of life (Asuniti), keep our minds within us and prolong our lives. Grant us the ability to live well. Delight us, and strengthen our bodies with ghee (clarified butter).

Stanza 10.59.6

असु॑नीते॒ पुन॑र॒स्मासु॒ चक्षुः॒ पुनः॑ प्रा॒णमि॒ह नो॑ धेहि॒ भोग॑म् | ज्योक्प॑श्येम॒ सूर्य॑मु॒च्चर॑न्त॒मनु॑मते मृ॒ळया॑ नः स्व॒स्ति ||

ásunīte púnar asmā́su cákṣuḥ púnaḥ prāṇám ihá no dhehi bhógam jyók paśyema sū́ryam uccárantam ánumate mr̥ḷáyā naḥ svastí

O spirit of life (Asuniti), restore our sight, restore our breath, and give us enjoyment. Place us again in this world. May we long see the sun rising. O Anumati, favor us with well-being.

Stanza 10.59.7

पुन॑र्नो॒ असुं॑ पृथि॒वी द॑दातु॒ पुन॒र्द्यौर्दे॒वी पुन॑र॒न्तरि॑क्षम् | पुन॑र्नः॒ सोम॑स्त॒न्वं॑ ददातु॒ पुनः॑ पू॒षा प॒थ्यां॒३॒॑ या स्व॒स्तिः ||

púnar no ásum pr̥thivī́ dadātu púnar dyaúr devī́ púnar antárikṣam púnar naḥ sómas tanvàṁ dadātu púnaḥ pūṣā́ pathyāā̀ṁ yā́ svastíḥ

May Earth again give us life. May the divine Heaven and the atmosphere again restore our vital spirit. May Soma again give us our body. May Pūṣan show us the path of well-being.

Stanza 10.59.8

शं रोद॑सी सु॒बन्ध॑वे य॒ह्वी ऋ॒तस्य॑ मा॒तरा॑ | भर॑ता॒मप॒ यद्रपो॒ द्यौः पृ॑थिवि क्ष॒मा रपो॒ मो षु ते॒ किं च॒नाम॑मत् ||

śáṁ ródasī subándhave yahvī́ r̥tásya mātárā bháratām ápa yád rápo dyaúḥ pr̥thivi kṣamā́ rápo mó ṣú te kíṁ canā́mamat

May the twin worlds (Heaven and Earth) bless Subandhu. May the mighty mothers of cosmic order (ṛta) bring good. May Heaven and Earth remove all evil and sin. May nothing harmful trouble you.

Stanza 10.59.9

अव॑ द्व॒के अव॑ त्रि॒का दि॒वश्च॑रन्ति भेष॒जा | क्ष॒मा च॑रि॒ष्ण्वे॑क॒कं भर॑ता॒मप॒ यद्रपो॒ द्यौः पृ॑थिवि क्ष॒मा रपो॒ मो षु ते॒ किं च॒नाम॑मत् ||

áva dvaké áva trikā́ diváś caranti bheṣajā́ kṣamā́ cariṣṇv èkakám bháratām ápa yád rápo dyaúḥ pr̥thivi kṣamā́ rápo mó ṣú te kíṁ canā́mamat

Medicines descend in groups of two or three from the sky, and move singly on the earth. May Heaven and Earth remove all evil and sin. May nothing harmful trouble you.

Stanza 10.59.10

समि॑न्द्रेरय॒ गाम॑न॒ड्वाहं॒ य आव॑हदुशी॒नरा॑ण्या॒ अनः॑ | भर॑ता॒मप॒ यद्रपो॒ द्यौः पृ॑थिवि क्ष॒मा रपो॒ मो षु ते॒ किं च॒नाम॑मत् ||

sám indreraya gā́m anaḍvā́haṁ yá ā́vahad uśīnárāṇyā ánaḥ bháratām ápa yád rápo dyaúḥ pr̥thivi kṣamā́ rápo mó ṣú te kíṁ canā́mamat

O Indra, drive forward the wagon-ox, which Uṣīnarāṇī's wagon brought. May Heaven and Earth remove all evil and sin. May nothing harmful trouble you.
