I existed as the lord of wealth, the first master. I win and gather all riches always. Creatures call on me as a father. I distribute food to the sacrificer.

I am Indra, the support and strength of Atharvan. I brought forth cows from the serpent for Trita. I took away might from the enemies. I gave stalls to Matarishvan.

For me, Tvashṭar fashioned the thunderbolt of iron. The gods placed strength within me. My form is like the sun, difficult to endure. They honor me for my deeds, done and to be done.

I, with my destructive bolt, have acquired these cattle, horses, and gold. I grant thousands to the worshipper. They rejoice when I, filled with Soma and praise, am happy.
