प्र वो॑ ग्रावाणः सवि॒ता दे॒वः सु॑वतु॒ धर्म॑णा | धू॒र्षु यु॑ज्यध्वं सुनु॒त ||
prá vo grāvāṇaḥ savitā́ deváḥ suvatu dhármaṇā dhūrṣú yujyadhvaṁ sunutá
O pressing stones, may the god Savitr impel you according to the established order. Be yoked to the shafts, and press the Soma juice.
This verse invokes the pressing stones used in the Soma ritual, addressing them as "stones." It asks the god Savitr, the impeller, to energize these stones according to cosmic order. The stones are then commanded to be yoked to the shafts of the pressing equipment and to perform their function of extracting the Soma juice.

O pressing stones, drive away misfortune and evil thoughts. Push away ill-will. Make the cows into a remedy.
The pressing stones are invoked again, this time with a plea to actively drive away misfortune and negative thoughts. They are asked to push away "bad luck" and "wrong-mindedness." Furthermore, the verse instructs the stones to transform the cows into a form of medicine or remedy, likely referring to the beneficial products derived from them.

The upper pressing stones, in harmony with each other, are honored. They bestow the bull-like strength upon the bull (Soma).
