Stanza 10.174.1
अ॒भी॒व॒र्तेन॑ ह॒विषा॒ येनेन्द्रो॑ अभिवावृ॒ते | तेना॒स्मान्ब्र॑ह्मणस्पते॒ऽभि रा॒ष्ट्राय॑ वर्तय ||
abhīvarténa havíṣā yénéndro abhivāvr̥té ténāsmā́n brahmaṇas pate 'bhí rāṣṭrā́ya vartaya
With the offering by which Indra achieved victory, by that, O Lord of Prayer, guide us towards sovereignty.
This mantra is a prayer addressed to Brahmanaspati, the lord of prayer and the divine mind, asking for his favor. The devotee invokes the same power and divine support that aided Indra in his victories, requesting Brahmanaspati to guide them towards achieving supreme power and dominion.

abhivŕ̥tya sapátnān abhí yā́ no árātayaḥ abhí pr̥tanyántaṁ tiṣṭhābhí yó na irasyáti
Having subdued the rivals, and all our adversities, stand firm against the attacker, and against one who wishes us harm.
This verse is a powerful invocation to overcome all obstacles and enemies. It calls upon divine strength to subdue rivals, defeat malevolent forces, stand firm against any attacker, and overcome those who harbor ill will or seek to harm us.

abhí tvā deváḥ savitā́bhí sómo avīvr̥tat abhí tvā víśvā bhūtā́ny abhīvartó yáthā́sasi
O divine Savitr, O Soma, have turned towards you. All beings have turned towards you, that you may be a general conqueror.
This mantra praises an individual, perhaps a king or a hero, who has been empowered and supported by the divine forces of Savitr (the sun god, representing creation and sustenance) and Soma (the moon god, representing inspiration and bliss). All created beings are said to have turned towards and supported this person, making them a general conqueror.

By the offering by which Indra became glorious and supreme, I have done this; O Gods, I have indeed become without rivals.
The speaker recounts how, by performing an offering that made Indra glorious and supreme, they have now become victorious and without rivals themselves. They present this offering to the gods, declaring their achieved state of being unchallenged.

Without rivals, a slayer of rivals, possessing royal power and the ability to conquer, may I rule over all these beings and over the people.
This verse expresses the speaker's desire to be a ruler who is free from rivals, a vanquisher of enemies, and possesses royal authority and the ability to overcome all opposition. They wish to reign supreme over all created beings and humanity.
