As the gods established faith among the mighty Asuras, so among the generous sacrificers, make our word effective.
This verse draws a parallel between the gods and the Asuras (powerful beings, sometimes adversaries) and asks Faith to act similarly towards humans. It states that just as the gods established faith among the powerful Asuras, the speaker requests Faith to establish belief or trust within the generous sacrificers (humans who perform rituals and give), and to make the speaker's own pronouncements effective.
