Stanza 10.133.1

प्रो ष्व॑स्मै पुरोर॒थमिन्द्रा॑य शू॒षम॑र्चत | अ॒भीके॑ चिदु लोक॒कृत्सं॒गे स॒मत्सु॑ वृत्र॒हास्माकं॑ बोधि चोदि॒ता नभ॑न्तामन्य॒केषां॑ ज्या॒का अधि॒ धन्व॑सु ||

pró ṣv àsmai purorathám índrāya śūṣám arcata abhī́ke cid ulokakŕ̥t saṁgé samátsu vr̥trahā́smā́kam bodhi coditā́ nábhantām anyakéṣāṁ jyākā́ ádhi dhánvasu

Sing forth to Indra with full praise, who advances with his chariot. You who create space, slayer of Vritra in the midst of battles, be our inspirer! Let the bowstrings of others snap on their bows.

Stanza 10.133.2

त्वं सिन्धूँ॒रवा॑सृजोऽध॒राचो॒ अह॒न्नहि॑म् | अ॒श॒त्रुरि॑न्द्र जज्ञिषे॒ विश्वं॑ पुष्यसि॒ वार्यं॒ तं त्वा॒ परि॑ ष्वजामहे॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒केषां॑ ज्या॒का अधि॒ धन्व॑सु ||

tváṁ síndhūm̐r ávāsr̥jo .adharā́co áhann áhim aśatrúr indra jajñiṣe víśvam puṣyasi vā́ryaṁ táṁ tvā pári ṣvajāmahe nábhantām anyakéṣāṁ jyākā́ ádhi dhánvasu

You released the rivers downwards. You, O Indra, struck down the serpent. You were born without an enemy. You nourish all desirable things. We embrace you. Let the bowstrings of others snap on their bows.

Stanza 10.133.3

वि षु विश्वा॒ अरा॑तयो॒ऽर्यो न॑शन्त नो॒ धियः॑ | अस्ता॑सि॒ शत्र॑वे व॒धं यो न॑ इन्द्र॒ जिघां॑सति॒ या ते॑ रा॒तिर्द॒दिर्वसु॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒केषां॑ ज्या॒का अधि॒ धन्व॑सु ||

ví ṣú víśvā árātayo 'ryó naśanta no dhíyaḥ ástāsi śátrave vadháṁ yó na indra jíghāṁsati yā́ te rātír dadír vásu nábhantām anyakéṣāṁ jyākā́ ádhi dhánvasu

May all misfortunes and the designs of the enemy perish from us. You are the bolt for the enemy who desires to kill us, O Indra. Your gift and bounty of wealth.

Stanza 10.133.4

यो न॑ इन्द्रा॒भितो॒ जनो॑ वृका॒युरा॒दिदे॑शति | अ॒ध॒स्प॒दं तमीं॑ कृधि विबा॒धो अ॑सि सास॒हिर्नभ॑न्तामन्य॒केषां॑ ज्या॒का अधि॒ धन्व॑सु ||

yó na indrābhíto jáno vr̥kāyúr ādídeśati adhaspadáṁ tám īṁ kr̥dhi vibādhó asi sāsahír nábhantām anyakéṣāṁ jyākā́ ádhi dhánvasu

O Indra, the people who observe us, like wolves, who are aiming at us, make them crushed underfoot. You are a conqueror who scatters. Let the bowstrings of others snap on their bows.

Stanza 10.133.5

यो न॑ इन्द्राभि॒दास॑ति॒ सना॑भि॒र्यश्च॒ निष्ट्यः॑ | अव॒ तस्य॒ बलं॑ तिर म॒हीव॒ द्यौरध॒ त्मना॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒केषां॑ ज्या॒का अधि॒ धन्व॑सु ||

yó na indrābhidā́sati sánābhir yáś ca níṣṭyaḥ áva tásya bálaṁ tira mahī́va dyaúr ádha tmánā nábhantām anyakéṣāṁ jyākā́ ádhi dhánvasu

O Indra, whoever attacks us, whether a kinsman or a stranger, diminish his strength by yourself. As the great sky. Let the bowstrings of others snap on their bows.

Stanza 10.133.6

व॒यमि॑न्द्र त्वा॒यवः॑ सखि॒त्वमा र॑भामहे | ऋ॒तस्य॑ नः प॒था न॒याति॒ विश्वा॑नि दुरि॒ता नभ॑न्तामन्य॒केषां॑ ज्या॒का अधि॒ धन्व॑सु ||

vayám indra tvāyávaḥ sakhitvám ā́ rabhāmahe r̥tásya naḥ pathā́ nayā́ti víśvāni duritā́ nábhantām anyakéṣāṁ jyākā́ ádhi dhánvasu

We, O Indra, desirous of you, undertake friendship with you. Lead us on the path of Rta (truth, order), beyond all difficulties. Let the bowstrings of others snap on their bows.

Stanza 10.133.7

अ॒स्मभ्यं॒ सु त्वमि॑न्द्र॒ तां शि॑क्ष॒ या दोह॑ते॒ प्रति॒ वरं॑ जरि॒त्रे | अच्छि॑द्रोध्नी पी॒पय॒द्यथा॑ नः स॒हस्र॑धारा॒ पय॑सा म॒ही गौः ||

asmábhyaṁ sú tvám indra tā́ṁ śikṣa yā́ dóhate práti váraṁ jaritré áchidrodhnī pīpáyad yáthā naḥ sahásradhārā páyasā mahī́ gaúḥ

O Indra, grant us that one which yields when desired by the singer. May the great cow, with inexhaustible udder, giving a thousand streams, nourish us with milk.
