ममा॑ग्ने॒ वर्चो॑ विह॒वेष्व॑स्तु व॒यं त्वेन्धा॑नास्त॒न्वं॑ पुषेम | मह्यं॑ नमन्तां प्र॒दिश॒श्चत॑स्र॒स्त्वयाध्य॑क्षेण॒ पृत॑ना जयेम ||
mámāgne várco vihavéṣv astu vayáṁ tvéndhānās tanvàm puṣema máhyaṁ namantām pradíśaś cátasras tváyā́dhyakṣeṇa pŕ̥tanā jayema
May my glory be in conflicts, O Agni; may we, while kindling you, nourish our bodies. May the four directions bow to me; with you as leader, may we win battles.
The poet prays to the god Agni for glory and strength in battles. He wishes for Agni's presence to help them grow physically and to conquer all directions and enemies, seeking Agni's leadership in warfare.

May all the gods be on my side in battle; the Maruts with Indra, Vishnu, and Agni. May the spacious sky be mine; may the wind blow for me in accordance with my desires.

The speaker invokes divine favor, wishing for wealth, blessings, and divine attention to be directed towards him. He calls upon the divine officiants (hotars) to grant him success in his endeavors and asks for protection and sustenance for himself and his lineage.

May the gods accept my offerings; may my mind's intentions be true. May I be free from any fault; O all you gods, please affirm this for me.
The poet expresses his desire for the gods to accept his offerings and for his intentions and thoughts to be realized. He prays to be free from any guilt or wrongdoing and asks all the gods to bless and confirm his prayers.

The poet invokes divine feminine powers and all gods to grant them ample space and to manifest their heroic qualities. He prays not to lose children or physical strength, and crucially, not to provide any advantage to enemies.

ágne manyúm pratinudán páreṣām ádabdho gopā́ḥ pári pāhi nas tvám pratyáñco yantu nigútaḥ púnas tè 'maíṣāṁ cittám prabúdhāṁ ví neśat
Agni, repelling the anger of the opponents, guard us as an unbreakable protector. May these enemies turn back to their own places; may their understanding and planning be destroyed.
The poet implores Agni to protect them by deflecting the anger of their adversaries and acting as an unassailable guardian. He wishes for the enemies to retreat and for their consciousness and plans to be disrupted and rendered ineffective.

May Dhātar, the creator and lord of the world, the divine protector who overcomes adversaries, along with the Aśvins, Brhaspati, and the gods, protect this sacrifice and the sacrificer from misfortune.
The poet invokes the supreme creator and ruler of the worlds, Dhātar, who is also the protector against enemies. He calls upon the divine twin physicians, the Aśvins, the great Brhaspati, and all the gods to protect this sacrifice and the sacrificer from harm.
