This Vena, born of light, urged forward the offspring of Prishni, in the vehicle of the sky. With their thoughts, the wise ones approach this being, like approaching a child, at the place where waters and sunlight meet.
This stanza introduces Vena, a divine being associated with light and the atmosphere. He is described as driving forth the "calves of Prishni" (possibly celestial phenomena or offspring) within the "vimana" or 'vehicle' of the sky (rajas). The sages, or wise poets, are drawn to him, and they approach him with their minds and hymns, like infants are approached, at the confluence of waters and sunlight.
